Tina smirked and raised an eyebrow, as if to say, “Ya think?”
“As I said, everything I’ve told you is true. I do live in Kansas City, and I do have a cousin who’s …”
Tina set her glass down and cut in. “Yeah, Kaci, I know that already… so let’s not waste any time. What I don’t know is the part that seems to be the real truth here. The whole U.S. Marshal angle, and they seem to be extra-protective of you. Are you free to tell me anything?”
Kaci swallowed what she’d sipped from her drink. “I’ll tell you what I can.”
Tina broke their shared look, and started to trace squares with a finger on the translucent table that was illuminated by a soft light from under the table. It lent a flattering glow to the blonde’s face.
Kaci looked at Tina, eyes softening, and blew out a nervous breath. “I used to live in San Francisco. I’m not at liberty to tell you what I did, but I can say that I made an extremely good living there. One day, I uncovered something, and by choice, to help with an important case, got mixed up in something. As a result, I was relocated to Kansas City when it became too dangerous for me to even be in west coast, and I had to drop everything, leave everything behind … my whole life … my parents … everything I knew… in San Francisco. I was given a new name, a new identify, and had to learn new skills in order to make a different living, and carve out a new life.”
Tina stopped tracing figures out on the table and looked up sharply.
“It turned out, this new identity they gave me was based on a name that could be linked to people who had family in Kansas City. And one day, a woman, Lea, found me, and told me that we must be long-lost cousins. The Marshals told me to go along with it, and let me develop a friendship with Lea. It was a godsend, because I’d felt adrift, so lost, unable to form new relationships until then. So Lea and I became close friends, I helped her weather the storms of her divorce, and she even asked me to be her daughter’s godmother when her daughter was baptized.”

is chapter is painful, Tina was again unfaithful, I hope for the next face that Tina be honest with Bette and Bette are angry and disappointed, I hope Bette took time alone to think about their marital future, I hope Tina suffer and drag to order forgiveness for having sexual desires for women and never stopping to kiss that whore !!! Tina has to suffer its consequences and this story made me nervous, I’m looking forward to your next chapter, thanks for today
I will be interested how you play this with Bette and Tina. There hasn’t been very much romance for Tibette in a long time. They need to reconnect and take care of their marriage. Thanks, enjoyed it
This is turning into “Love Out of Control.” I think Dan Foxworthy is going to have his hands full with Tina once again. She needs to figure out why? Why again? I was particularly drawn to the line, “…you live in New York! You can’t avoid bumping into gorgeous people here. It’s a giant candy store out there, and you must run into all manner of eye candy all the time… ” It made me think that while everyone enjoys a little candy every now and then, it has very little nutritional value. Tina seems like the type who chooses things that nourish her. She’ll figure it out.
I’ve got to find this lesbian bar you so vividly described. It sounds like its definitely worth the price of admission.
You hit all the senses again…strawberry-flavored gloss, honeysuckle scent, warm pliant tongue, pulsing beat, daring outfits. You put me right in the scenes again.
BTW, you’ve teased us long enough, I’m dying to read about Bette’s golf outing. Bring it on!
Yes sky when you said drama well what can say. I feel bad for Kaci but I’m glad Tina stopped from letting it go any further….
When i asked more B&T time, this was not what i expected :-( . Thank god Tina stopped the kiss , but she seemed to kiss back and that is not good. I know that you can be acctracted to other people while you are in a happy secure marriage, but she is/ was playing with fire.
My heart breaks for Bette, she doesn’t deserve this. Tina has to come clean. It was Kaci who started the kiss to distract the guys attention but it was Tina who kissed back. Fuck what a mess.
And Lena is that the same woman Bette is after for the foundation?
