“She’s not the only one that this affected,” Tina said quietly.
“Look I know how hard this has been for both of you but either you two learn to forgive or you two will never have a prayer,” said
Tina stood silently for several moments and then turned and headed for the kitchen. Entering the living room she heard Bette and Shane talking outside.
The door opened quietly behind Bette and Shane and without turning around Bette sensed that it was Tina. “Do you mind if I talk to Bette for a few minutes Shane?” Tina asked softly.
Shane put out her cigarette and went in the house leaving the two women alone.
Bette’s voice trembled softly as she said, “Tina if we can just get through today I’ll leave tomorrow. I would really like to be able to spend Christmas with my friends and family.”
“Bette I don’t want you to stay here just because of the baby. I was set to care for her alone and I can still do that,” Tina sighed.
For what felt like the millionth time Bette said, “I am here because I love you – both of you. I’m not here out of some sense of obligation. I’m here because I want to be; no I have to be. My life has been so empty without you in it. It felt like you took my heart with you when you left.”
Tina sat down on the step next to Bette. “I want us back more than anything in the world but I have so much to overcome. One of the biggest problems is that I don’t feel like I satisfy you anymore.”
“You could not possibly be further from the truth Tina. Holding you, touching you and loving you makes me feel complete. Just being near you makes my heart race.” Bette wiped a tear from her face as she stared at Tina. “When we make love I feel whole, like there is nothing missing from my life. I can’t get close enough to you I just want to crawl inside you and just be yours. I need nothing more than to hear you say my name when we are in bed to know that we are connected emotionally, physically and spiritually. You fill my heart with so much love that it actually hurts. Don’t you understand that without you I am nothing?”

Tina finds it so difficult to forgive Bette. If she can’t then I’m afraid their relationship is doomed. Tina is never going to find someone that she loves as much as Bette or loves her as deeply. Forgiveness is a divine trait.

Tina really needs to stop comparing herself and Candace. Asking Bette if she was a better lover..etc. Bette’s explained to Tina that the affair was never about her it was about her herself. Hope Tina finally hears what Bette is telling her about Candace. Tina needs to give Bette a break, she needs to really hear how much Bette loves her. Bette should let Tina show her how much she loves her. I think Bette’s afraid to let Tina make love to her…she’s afraid it may be the last time, especially, if things don’t work out. Thanks for the update.
