    Bette and Tina have had enough of someone…but never enough of one another

    Tina (smiling as she looked up at Bette): “Yes because I don’t want to have to hide how I feel about you.”

    Bette (turning serious): “TYou do know that some people will look down on you for loving me. Not me per se but for being with a woman and they might stare or make remarks. I do not hide who I am from the world because I don’t give a damn whether anyone likes it or not. I live my life the way I want.”

    Tina: “I told you before Bette that I was willing to give us a chance and I meant it. I am committed fully into this relationship and being a couple in public is part of that. I am sure that there will be some awkwardness for me at one time or another but I know you will be there to support me and help me through it.”

    Bette (smiling): “I will be. Whatever you need TI will be there.”

    Tina (softly laughing as she leaned in and gently kissed Bette): “Good. Now how about for starters, we get something to eat. Swimming always makes me hungry.”

    Bette (wiggling her eyebrows and laughing): “It really made me ‘hungry’ too.”

    Tina (laughing): “What am I going to do with you Miss Porter?”

    Bette (softly laughing): “Ask me later after we eat?”

    Tina just laughed and got up from the bed and headed to the bathroom. Bette called out to her asking if she wanted to stay in and order room service or go out. They decided to go downstairs and eat dinner and afterwards to take a quite walk in the moonlight before they returned to their room to turn in for the night.

    Bette packed her bag for her return flight in the morning while Tina lay on the bed watching her. As they got ready for bed they seemed to each be lost in their own thoughts. After they crawled into bed Tina moved into Bette’s arms and snuggled in close to her.

    Tina (quietly): “What time does your flight leave in the morning?”

    Bette (sadly): “I need to be at the airport by 9:30 a.m.”
