    Bette and Tina have had enough of someone…but never enough of one another

    Tina: “Do you want to get up and go out to breakfast before you go?”

    Bette (running her hand up and down Tina’s arm absentmindedly): “No I think I would rather just spend what time we have in the morning just being alone with you. I am going to miss you so much.”

    Tina (squeezing Bette tightly to her): “I am really going to miss you too.”

    Bette (sighing): “Well at least I will be busy at the gallery the whole week so I can make sure that we can spend some time together when you get back.”

    Tina (moving so that she was lying on top of Bette with her head on her chest): “I will be home on Friday one way or the other. I will make sure of it.”

    Bette didn’t say anything but instead she gently pulled on Tina’s arms to pull her up so that she could kiss her. It wasn’t a heated passionate kiss but it was a kissed filled with love. One kiss led to another, as they simply just wanted to absorb the touch and feel of one another enough to get them through the days they would be apart. They made love well into the night and fell asleep holding each other tightly.

    Bette woke up before the alarm went off so she turned off and then lay back down so she could watch Tina sleep and she lay there wishing she didn’t have to go. She gently got up out of the bed trying not to wake Tina and made it in to the bathroom to take a shower so that she could get ready to go to the airport. She had just gotten under the spray of hot water when she felt Tina slip her arms around her.

    Bette (turning around to face Tina and leaning down to kiss her): “Good morning baby.”

    Tina (laying her head on Bette’s shoulder after the kiss): “Good morning.”

    Bette (holding Tina): “I was trying to let you sleep in. We had a late night last night.”

    Tina (looking up at Bette): “I woke up when you got up and came in here.”

    Bette: “I just needed to take a quick shower before I got dressed and get my things loaded in the car.”
