“This is ridiculous,” Bette said. “The contract is ironclad.”
“Except when they default on the down payment, which they have,” Tina said. “I found it. It basically says it’s up to us to extend them a grace period to make good or we can terminate the agreement at their expense because they are in breech.”
“I was never especially comfortable not knowing who they buyers were. I mean who buys a house through a Limited Liability Corporation?” Bette scrutinized the paragraph Tina showed her.
“Investors, wealthy people, property management types.” Tina replied without missing a beat and was rewarded with an amused little smile.
“Well, my little mogul, what do you think we should do?” Bette was annoyed by the inconvenience more than anything else,
“Maybe wait until the end of business tomorrow and if it doesn’t come through, cancel the sale first thing on Tuesday morning.”
“Agreed, but I’m not holding my breath.” Bette closed the folder. “I think the house is back on the market.”
Peggy gently persuaded Helena to let the children and Kathleen spend the night with her. After they left, she and Lara were at loose ends until they realized that they had not spent any time completely alone in as long as they could remember.
“How is that possible?” Helena was genuinely surprised.
“I’ve pretty much moved in,” Lara said as she took Helena in her arms. “I felt like I needed to be here for you. For the kids. I hope you don’t mind.”
“Mind?” Helena kissed Lara deeply. “I honestly don’t know what we would do with out you. I promise that we will have some grownup time, just us, as soon as I’m certain that Winnie is no longer a threat.”
“This is all the grownup time I need,” Lara said huskily.
She backed Helena through the living room toward the fireplace, shedding clothes as they went. They were nude by the time they stood in front of the fire. Lara ran her tongue from Helena’s luscious lips, along her jaw, down her throat and across her collarbone.
“You do know how to take a girl’s mind of her troubles, my love,” Helena managed to say as she felt Lara’s thumbs circling her hardening nipples.
“Shhhhhh,” Lara didn’t lift her head as she moved to replace her thumbs with her mouth, leaving the most delightful little tingles in the nerve endings along Helena’s sternum. “No talking.”

LMFAO great chapter, it took me two days to read it I’ve been in and out so much but I’ve got to say amazing. LOOOOOOVE drunk Alice, and Dana was spot on perfect and even though I am nothing like Dana I felt strangely connected to her actions lol.
