Music Is My Savior
Tasha who had been standing on the base of a light pole, jumped off and greeted Alice with open arms. She pulled back just enough to give the blonde a sweet peck on the lips before pulling back the rest of the way to smile at Tina. She looked to her left to introduce the woman standing beside her.
"This is my cousin, Bette"
Alice smiled and extended her hand for Bette to take before gesturing to Tina standing beside her, "Hi, I’m Alice and this is-"
"Tina" The blonde cut her off with a wide smile and held out her hand towards Bette whom gratefully took it in her own.
"Nice to meet you" Bette smiled warmly, her low voice tickling Tina’s ears.
"Nice to meet you too" Tina returned the smile and tried not to shiver at the tingles that ran through her body.
It was hard to determine what exactly separated Bette and Tina’s meeting from any other they’ve had in the past but there was just something there. Alice and Tasha saw that immediately, sharing smiles between each other as they followed the newly acquainted pair around Manhattan.
There was an instant fire between them that only increased with time and completely surpassed anything either woman had been used to. It was explosive and intense from the very beginning, leaving both women curious and wanting for more.
*****
I threw my hands in the air and said, "Show me something"
He said, "If you dare, come a little closer"
Tina nearly flew off the bed at the sound of the loud banging on her front door, her heart pounding as she made her way down the hall to answer it. She clenched her pullover sweater at the chest and reached for the doorknob, not bothering to look through the peephole. She already knew who waited for her on the other side.
As she suspected, there stood her girlfriend of five weeks in all her frustration. Drenched from the pouring rain, her normally wild curls clung to her face and neck as well as her thin blue t-shirt. Her mocha face was slightly flushed, a combination of her anger and the cold drops that continuously ran down her face but she didn’t look any less beautiful than the day Tina first met her. If anything, Bette looked even *** more beautiful.
