“Are you trying to watch 3 channels at once Angelica ?”
“No mom”
“Well just settle down and eat your sandwich “
“Am I going back to school today ?”
“No “ Bette said
“Great – can we go for a walk “
Bette looked at Tina “Depends on how your mommy feels – maybe we can just hang out at home “
“Okay “
Bette thanked various deities that Angie was very easy going. She walked across and rested her hand on Tina’s hip
“You okay ? “
“I want to throw up “
“I am not surprised “
Tina turned round and touched Bette’s face “
“I am sorry for how worried you must have been “
“Worried doesn’t come close “ Bette said “Anyway – what matters is that we face this together – you are still shaking “
“I think it might take a few weeks before I stop “
Bette looked at Angie who was watching the TV. She lead Tina away and they sat at the dining table. Bette eased Tina’s coffee to her. The blonde picked the mug up but her hand was shaking so much that some of the coffee split on the table. She put the mug down and looked at Bette
“I guess you must have so many questions “
“I do but you but I don’t need answers to them yet. You and Angie are my whole world – I love you Tina “
“Even after this ?”
“Especially after this – I couldn’t shake the fear that something had happened and I was going to have you two taken away from me. I have never been happier than I have been since that October evening when you and Angie showed up. My life changed forever that day and I am so happy that it did. Nothing changes my feelings towards you Tina “
Tina’s tears came again – she didn’t know how she was going to face the consequences of what had happened this morning . The repercussions would keep reverberating for many months to come. She had lied to Bette – she had told Bette a whole set of lies about her family and why she had left North Carolina. Bette hadn’t questioned her or asked why she didn’t want to contact them – probably because her own dysfunctional family was a source of her own pain. Maybe that had been one of the factors that had kept them together – they only had one another – there was no family to run back to.

Wow, really a great chapter! It really fills in blanks about alot of Tina’s issues!
My gosh that was totally unexpected. Bette needs to make sure that Louise will and can not have access to their personal info at the school so that she nor anyone else can find their home. They, on the other hand need to know everything they can about her. What’s the possibility that Louise already knows about them. OMG, has helena had a hand in this? It reeks of her and her machinations. Oh God, I hope not. Fascinating chapter. You are the supreme Drama Queen. Thanks for posting. You would be a fantastic mystery writer, ala Agatha Christie. Love the stories she wrote.

Con’t-history told and then let her crawl back under her rock and have Tina, Bette and Angie get on with their life. I wonder though if Helena did this too.

I’m still shockes at what happened to Tina but I’m quite liking the change in dynamics a little lol. Bette is in shock but at least she’s giving Tina the space she needs as well as consoling her. Was a really deep chapter, but much needed. Pps
You still have the magic touch! Their lives were too idyllic. Need a little drama. MOre L Wing, please. I need to read about Tina groveling especially after she was the cause of Bette’s former lover being killed.
