    Business trips.
Interminable meetings, frequent flyer miles and long and boring hours spent in airport terminals.
She had found peace and quiet for a few hours in a near deserted lounge area. The hustle and bustle of the airport was audible but happened far away enough that she felt like she had found a little oasis of peace.
With her feet tucked underneath her, her carry-on luggage lying in a pile with her winter coat on the empty seat beside her, she sat quietly reading her book, turning the page slowly with her right hand whilst her left hand was busy blindingly digging through a bag of gummy bears.
She wondered what flavour the next sugary treat would be. She was always able to pick out the red ones from all the other colours in the bag. It had become her claim to fame, she could do that with M&Ms too. The red ones always tasted like they should be red while all the other colours blended indiscernibly.
She brought the little bear shaped jelly to her mouth, snapping its head off and letting the flavour coat her tongue.
"Red," she thought to herself, before looking at the remaining half of the sweet between her thumb and index finger.
Seeing she was once again right, a little smile tugged at her lips and she congratulated herself internally, "I win again!"
She returned to her book, letting the soft music which filtered through the speakers built into the terminal ceiling, envelop her. Tina had plenty of time yet before she was required to make her way to her departure gate.
The equally peace seeking and crowd dodging brunette wandered into the secluded lounge a few minutes later. Her eyes fell instantly on the reading blonde, first of all surprised to find only one other body in this part of the very busy airport and then pleased at the ravishing sight she offered. Blonde hair pinned up in the back of her hair, pale skin, delicate hands and a strict but elegantly feminine if not slightly sexy pinstripe navy blue business suit.
Bette saw she was reading, and, judging by the smile on her lips was enjoying the book quite a bit. She sat down quietly a couple of seats away, trying to not disturb her, nodding with a smile when the blonde lifted her head anyway to look up at her.

    1. Damn…..kins you come out of nowhere and just rock my world like this, only to leave for god knows how long. I don’t care just as long as you keep coming back. Now that is a characteristic of a player LOL ;@)

    2. I forgot my offering of the number 14. Thanks for including me. 14 is special to me because in a few short days my partner and I will celebrate 25 years together on September 14th. How appropriate that you would choose now to include my number. I know I have gushed over your writing before. I continue to adore you. T

    3. Simply FANTASTIC Kins, just beautifully, wonderfully and lovingly fantastic. Thanks for popping back in and bringing wonderful stories. Can hardly wait for the multi-chapter story you will bring us. Thanks again.

    4. Ditto to everything above, well, maybe not the marry me part since its not too appropriate at this time. But, damn girl, you write great stories. I loved the Savannah slip in there… still one of my favorite stories. Thanks for the update.

    5. Great kins – I came to your stories late but delighted I found you! A true storyteller with the ability in your words to make me laugh and make me cry – thank you.

Do you think you might write some more Savannah some time?!?
