    Talking, bad weather and going back to school

    It took another 30 minutes before Bette caught up with Tina -she was sitting outside under a giant sun parasol. She looked very cool and much less stressed than the day before
    “Hey there”
    “Hey there – how was the run ?”
    “Long – I was ravenous – so I have just had a huge turkey sandwich – it was really nice”
    “Strange breakfast “
    “That wasn’t my breakfast – not by a long stretch; I am just warming up to some serious eating. Is 11am too early to start on the ice cream sundaes ?”
    “Its 5pm somewhere in the world “ Tina replied
    “Good point – so how are you doing ?”
    “The massage was just wonderful – you should try it   – they have the whole works”
    “I might – or you could show me what she did to you “
    “He – it was a he “
    Bette raised an eyebrow
    “I didn’t want a woman touching me – only one woman touches me “
    Bette smiled “ Thanks – so what happened with Emma – do I assume that she had a hangover ?”
    “She had a vile hangover and she was a real bitch to me “
    “Where was Kate ?”
    “Kate had decided to swim her hang-over off – which probably made Emma worse . So I got it with both barrels “
    “No mitigating circumstances or defence ?”
    “None – she was in hanging judge mode”
    “I am sorry “
    Tina exhaled and removed her sun glasses “ Some would say that I got what I deserved — especially as you and Kate let me off the hook without too much punishment. She was not going to let me off lightly “
    Bette took her hand “I am sorry “
    Tina shrugged “ I got what I deserved and it gave me one hell of a lot to think about “
    “Do you want to talk about it ?”
    “We do have to talk about it – especially as it concerns you “
    “That sounds really worrying “
    “Lets get you some food before you faint – then we can go down to the beach and talk”
    “Where are your parents ?”
    “Gone shopping “
    “Retail therapy “
    Tina nodded “I don’t think I can expect any bags returning with my name on”
    “We could go shopping “
    Tina shook her head “ I don’t really want to – I do want to talk though. Is that okay?”
    “Of course. I have been thinking a lot “
    “Are you going to give me hell as well ?”
    “How likely is that ?” Bette replied
    “Thanks “ Tina said
    “Come on “ Bette stood up “Lets go to the shop and buy enough food to last us an hour or so – we can find somewhere on the beach and chat and eat. Then we can start on the ice cream”

    2. Sorry to see you retiring from the site but as I have told you many times, I want to see your name on a book cover and now that will be happening. Congratulations that you have made that decision. As others have stated I am counting on relapses. And I will ask as well for more on the LWing, we have missed it. Whatever you write, you know I will read. You will be missed and again congratulations.

Great end to a great story.Have loved it from the beginning.So sorry you are retiring from Tibette but understand after eight years a break will be good for you.Like others we hope you have the odd relapse and come back to this site.Please keep us in touch with all your future writing.Would love to know where we will be able to read your new stories.I have come to love your stories over the past two years of trying to catch up with them all on this site.You have become one of my favourite authors and we will miss you on here but will catch up with you and Lord Rocky elsewhere.

L WING is one of my favorites fanfic ever, and is the reason for I find this site.I could read it every day (so far I’ve reread several times). While other writers have faded away due to thing or another, you’ve were a wonderful constant. Your stories were varied, interesting, dramatic and well thought out. Your leaving will definitely leave a large void on this site. Your are if not almost the last of the “big time” authors on this site. Please let us know when you’ve been published.
