Bette nodded solemnly, “Dana was too”
Tina’s eyes shot up to meet Bette’s with surprise, “You spoke to Dana?”
Bette eyed the piece of lettuce that flew out of Tina’s mouth, watching as it fell onto the porch. “I went to Alice’s and she was there. She told me what happened”
Tina raised an eyebrow curiously, “What did she tell you?”
Bette mirrored the action, “What did Lara tell you?”
They stared at each other for a moment, both contemplating on spilling the bit of information they had. Knowing they only had half of the story, both women were filled with curiosity and eagerness to piece it all together. It had often been that way when they were younger too, both somehow recruited listeners to their friends’ drama.Despite it all, they shook their heads deciding they had enough going on in their own lives.
“Let’s stay out of it” They agreed at the same time, each waving a dismissive hand in the air.
Tina had just lowered her head to resume eating when Bette decided to touch back on the initial subject, her soft voice a mixture of pain and guilt.
“You know, this isn’t easy for me”Tina’s froze in place at the sound of the brunette’s words, her lips parted and hovering just over the soft taco shell.
“And you think it is for me?” She asked as she brought the taco away from her mouth, her eyes swirling with sadness and untapped anger. “Do you have any idea what that lunch was like? To sit there and listen to her talk about you and your time together .. to hear about a life that I knew in my heart should have been mine? It was fucking torture”
Bette swallowed at the blonde’s heartbroken words, her own heart tearing in two. She took a cautious step forward, slowly stretching out a hand toward Tina.
“T ..”
“What’s worse is that it’s not even over” The blonde laughed without humor, and Bette dropped her arm before contact. “I have to bartend a party where you’re going to be playing the perfect girlfriend. I have to watch you be hopelessly in love with someone else”
At the broken sound of Tina’s voice, Bette immediately pulled her in by the lapels of her flannel jacket. Her expression was sympathetic yet .. hungry, an act she showed when she wrapped her hands around the lapels of Tina’s jacket to bring them even closer together.

Now we have a bigger mess….Brenda has hope that there is a chance with Tina. Tina wants Bette badly but is wondering if she will truly breakup with Emma. Emma is in some self-centered world in which she views Bette as her most adoring fan. And Bette is afraid that someone’s feelings are going to be hurt. News flash…seldom can two people end a relationship without one of the parties being hurt. So, Bette, if you really want to be with Tina, you need to just break up with Emma… just do it. As time goes by it will not get easier.

Can we move the party fast forward or better, Bette has to break up with Emma ASAP!!!! She will be hurt anyway and B&T are hurting too.
Emma thinks she was clever to invite Brenda and that stupid bitch still thinks she can pursue Tina.
The party will be torture for B&T and for us readers.
I hope you can update asap.

In last two chapters i really can’t decide is Emma a very narcissistic and absolutely not playing attention on anybody else besides herself, or she just dumb.
I guess we’ll find out in next updates.

Geez those two lol.. I feel the love.. do do wish Bette would just tell Emma… this my back fire and it seems more cruel to go through with the party pretending especial if she has friends coming..now your bringing Breada back into the mix Jesus. But I see the drama your creating, it a fun read..they all seem to have a touch of Alice in them lol.. Emma so blind but i had a feeling she my be the devil if poked hard enough.. thank you sorry so late reading..
