Only Ever You – Chapter 9
Bette didn’t answer.
Emma shrugged as if she could care less and fluffed the golden wave of hair sitting on her shoulder, “Well I think it goes perfect with my outfit”
Bette raised an eyebrow, “What are you supposed to be anyway?”
With a sultry smile and a perfect eye roll, Emma dropped her hands at her sides fully prepared to awe the seemingly unimpressed brunette. She appeared to grab something at her sides before dramatically raising her arms up, bringing up the most beautiful pair of butterfly wings Bette had ever seen. The material appeared thin but soft as silk and had sparkling gems sewn throughout to create the most intricate yet unmistakable pattern. A closer look showed Bette that the gems were real yellow and chocolate diamonds. There were rubies and a few opals, all arranged together perfectly.
Bette was in awe.
“Wow”
“I know right?” Emma chuckled and squealed with excitement, her smile brighter than Bette had seen it in a long while. “Hector had them made and shipped over the moment I told him my idea for the party. Actually, he should be on his way to do my makeu- oh there he is!”
At the sound of the knock, Emma ran to the door with more excitement than Bette had seen in anyone ever. She chose to remain in the bedroom, praying to God that Emma wouldn’t bring her A-list stylist anywhere near her. While Emma worshipped the ground Hector Ramirez walked on, Bette couldn’t stand him. He was far too arrogant and his condescending attitude was more than enough to make Bette want to shove-
“Bette!” Hector exclaimed as he rushed into the room, arms outstretched and seemingly excited. An act surely. “My beautiful Bette!”
Bette released a rather uncomfortable and awkward breath of laughter, “Hector. Hi”
She was pulled into a hug before she could object, Hector’s long violet hair tickling her nose.
“It is so good to see you” Hector beamed as he pulled back to brush all his hair to one side before grabbing Bette’s hands, “Though, why you would choose to come down here I will never know”
Bette forced a smile, “This is my hometown. I grew up here”
“Which would explain why you moved to New York, yes?” Hector’s disapproving eyes roamed around the spacious hotel room suite, his exaggerated accent grinding Bette’s last nerve. It always felt so forced that the brunette wouldn’t be surprised if Hector wasn’t really from Venezuela as he so claimed.

Hi! Thank you for the new update!
I think we can forgive you for the two updates:)
About party and Tibette fight. I don’t know, i think i can’t say that i on Bette or Tina side about this one.
Yes? Bette was very selfish when she persuaded Tina to come to the party, but i think Tina with Brenda and how she allowed her to hug herself went to far too.
But i believe you can fix their fight, right?
P.S. Emma seems worse and worse with every chapter. But i don’t mind about this:)

Wow so emotional so much love but things holding them back like Emma isn’t worth the fight that building a wall. Bette needs to climb over it and just tell Emma which I cant see how she was with to begin with.. great great chapter.. ok I’m on to the next one..
