    Chapter 12 – B&T beginning

     

    “No, not at all” Tina said also amused.

     

    “You’re a terrible liar. Anyway I had the biggest crush on her” Bette giggled.

     

    “So that’s when you knew you were gay?”

     

    “Yeah, that and when we spent an entire afternoon making out behind the lockers after gym class” Bette chuckled.

     

    “Oh I see” Tina also chuckled.

     

    “Well, after all I was the captain of the woman’s basketball team” Bette quickly added. “But I guess that my father’s greatest disappointment came not only because I was gay, but because I chose this profession over my Ivy league education as he so kindly put into words more than once” Bette said turning serious again. “The thing is I just don’t care anymore, I see him occasionally but I learnt a long time ago that I couldn’t choose who to love or how to live my life based on people’s expectations… and if they don’t accept me and who I decide to love or how i decide to live, then it’s their loss… of course it wasn’t easy, at first you need time to process things and then some more time” Bette said dryly.

     

    “Something tells me that my family is not gonna take me being gay very smoothly, but you’re right… now I know what I’ve been missing and I don’t plan on going back to that any time soon” Tina confidently said as she slightly shuddered from a small breeze that was coming from the ocean. It was quite dark and they could see many stars beginning to appear in the sky, so they decided to pick everything up and continue their date relaxing on the lounge chairs.

     

    Tina changed the CD in the stereo and refilled their wine glasses while Bette went inside to put the left over food in the fridge.

     

    When Bette came back carrying a light jacket for Tina, she found the blonde standing and staring, deep in thought, to the darkness of the ocean. Bette quietly stood behind Tina and softly placed the jacket on her shoulders, but as she was doing this, her hands were captured by Tina’s.

     

    The blonde slowly turned around as she put on the jacket that had been offered to her, it smelled so good, it smelled like Bette. Tina instinctively took a step forward and placed both her arms around the brunette’s neck, as Bette’s hands naturally placed themselves around Tina’s hips.

     

    The blonde placed her face inches apart the right side of Bette’s neck, right between her ear and her jaw line. The soft tunes of Coldplay’s song “Proof” started coming out of the stereo and Tina gently and seductively whispered on the brunette’s ear.

     

    “Please dance with me”

    5. Awwwwww, new love is so exciting. So happy Tina went back to be with her. They are going slowly and learning things about each other. Hope Tina can stay the whole time if Bette wants her to. Loved the update and hope in the next chapter they will continue their dance, etc. Thanks for posting. PPVS

    9. I think my mum and Tina’s mum are related. LOL! Well done again…you may have had a harder time writing this one…but I thought it flowed well from the 2 girlfriends moment (T & K), the parents + Tina moment, and then the 1st date. Oh, so sweet!!!!

    15. Ok this habit of yours must put to a stop before it became a regular habit? but may i say, aww, here they’re come, and it’s going to be a long night ahead of them.
