“I bet they did… actually I bet everyone does and yes I have a sister Kit… well half-sister, we share the same father. She owns a café called The Planet in West Hollywood”
“Really? I go there all the time… we meet up there for breakfast almost three times a week with my friends Shane and Dana” Tina said really surprised, knowing that now that café would hold another significance for her.
“It’s funny how such a big city like LA can feel so small at times… Alice practically lives there and Helena is a frequent customer also, whenever she’s in town” Bette said smiling and wondering how on earth she hadn’t seen such a beautiful woman who frequented her sister’s cafe. Tina had been there all this time, right under her nose, so to speak Well if you don’t ever leave your restaurant… this totally proves Alice’s theory, she must not find out about this… ever…
“Is something wrong?” Tina asked noticing that the brunette seemed deep in thought.
“No… not at all…” The brunette tried to reassure her.
“Should we start heading back? Otherwise I think the guy is gonna send the coast guards looking for us… soon”
“Yeah, he seemed a bit worried didn’t he?” Bette added with a giggle and so they started their way back. Half an hour later they were safe and back on dry land.
They decided to take a walk by the shore before heading back to the car. Conversation flew so easily between the two of them that time or space seemed not to exist. They talked about many different things and soon Bette discovered that Tina was a big fan of making up rankings of all kinds. Laughter was something that also came very easy for them and Tina was especially delighted with Bette’s sense of humour, she found it very ironic and sarcastic but sometimes sweet as well, very much like her own.
“It’s getting late, are you hungry?” Bette asked noticing her watch.
“I’m starving actually… Miss Porter, would you like to go out on to dinner with me?” Tina seductively asked.
“Why thank you Miss Kennard…mh… tempting but what would you say if we stopped by the grocery store and perhaps I could grill something for us?” Bette counter offered, she did want to go out with the blonde but she also wanted another romantic and intimate night, like the one they had shared the previous one.
“I would love that” Tina smiled and closed the distance between them giving the chef a kiss that perhaps lingered a bit longer than necessary.

Taking the time to get to know each other and having fun is definitely bringing them closer together… and they have, at the very least, the Planet as a common hangout once the holiday is over. Delightful! Thanks for the post. :)

It is great that they are talking, but they are not really telling each other their true feelings.
