    Chapter 27, part 1: Love is in the air (morning after and Bette and Tina have…a conversation)

    Tina was watching Bette with surprise written all over her face because that was not what she expected the brunette to ask first, especially after she just declared that she cared for Bette and loved her.

    “Well, girlfriends usually live together, spend their time together, they love each other, they are physically attracted to each other, they kiss a lot and make love to each other…often. Just like any other couple do.”

    Bette absorbed that information while continuing looking directly at Tina. “So, Alice and Dana are girlfriends,” she said, nodding her head and conveying that she understood Tina’s explanation.

    “Yes…and Shane and Carmen are, as well,” Tina answered, trying to figure out where Bette was going with that.

    “Can gay people have families and stay together for the rest of their lives?” Bette asked again, keeping her eyes on Tina’s face.

    “Well, marriage between gay people is still illegal in the United States but they can have commitment ceremonies and civil unions in some states, and then live together forever and love each other, be partners and have kids together,” Tina responded, meeting Bette’s gaze and trying to sound casual, when everything inside her was screaming, ‘That’s what I want to have with you, Bette, if you let me love you with all that I am.’

    Bette sighed again and said very softly, almost in whisper, “I know that you care for me but how do you know that you love me?”

    Tina couldn’t believe what she was hearing as she mentally processed Bette’s question, ‘Finally, I can tell her how I feel, but what if she doesn’t feel the same. What if last night was just her way to forget loneliness, fear, or her longing for home and Christina?’

    Tina gently touched Bette’s face and said sincerely, “I knew I loved you the first time I touched your hand that day at the mansion. I could feel the connection between us and I knew it right then but…to be completely honest, I’ve been infatuated with you for a long time,” she finished, blushing at the memory of all the drooling she’d done over Bette’s beautiful face on the miniature.  

    “What do you mean…for a long time?” Bette asked, confused by Tina’s answer.

    3. Thank you B&TF for posting another chapter. I know you have a lot of other writing to do, but I really do love this story and look forward to your updates. I particularly loved the way you wrote Bette and Tina shyly feeling their way toward each other. You could really feel Tina wanting to rush forward and declare her love for Bette, but pulling back so she wouldn’t frighten Bette. And you couls also feel Bette’s guilt…she loved Christina, but she feels that same love now toward Tina…and she doesn’t quite know how to handle it. Well written and I’ll be here whenever you can post the next chapter.

    4. B&TF- I’m not one who comments often but I LOVE this story. You are doing a great job with it and my eyes light up when I see that you’ve updated it so please keep it up. I can’t wait to see what happens and if Bette chooses to stay in the future with Tina. I’m nervous about what will happen when Alice lets everyone know what she found out on her trip. Maybe this will somehow show that the meaning of the inscription on the minature is that Tina is just like Christina and therefore the one to be ready for.

Well, as you may remember I had enjoyed your previous chapter very very much as I thought it was incredibly enthralling, but… Well, I don’t think this is going to come as a big surprise to you : I have loved this one as well… As for comments, I must confess that even though I was among those who left you a few words last time I am as guilty as everybody else for I had not commented on the previous 2 chapters, I believe ( mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa ! )… The thing is I’ve been having very very little time to read fic lately ( and yet, I love all your stories and I had not read this one when you originally posted it so this is even more thrilling for me ), so when I do catch up on my reading I usually read 2 or 3 chapters in a row and I only a comment on the latest one, thinking you might not go back and read “old” comments… Anyway, my point is, so far, there isn’t a chapter in this story that I found boring or even just so-so… I have enjoyed every single minute of reading and, trust me, there aren’t many fics out there I can say the same thing about… I can’t wait to see what’s coming !     14. Hey BT&F.. I love this story, in fact all your stories. This one is quite interesting.. it is never easy to write a sci-fi love story especially the storyline of time travel and trying to connect the lives of the characters of their past and present lives, creating one storyline that is believable.. You pulled this off brilliantly. It will be interesting to see how you will resolve the complicated lives of our favourite couple. I already read the original version, and so looking forward to your next update.. Thank you.

And I must say that your details about archives searching has been everything but boring. I found it very interesting, especially since it’s related to what you do. I love the way this story is going and I’m impressed by your mind’s engineering! Great stuff there! So Bette “wants to fall in love” with Tina? I thought she was already in love with her… But I guess it’s all very complicated with Christina and everything, and that she will confess her love in time… Finally, I wanted to say that I totally understand what you mean about “needing” the comments. I agree that it’s generally not the number of viewers that makes my day but the comments on my story. It’s important to me to know what the readers think. So I love the poem and I can only agree with every word! Please don’t give up nor slow down with this story, I love it and want to see it continue towards its resolution. Please, please, please! I love this story and am so so happy that you are continuing with it again. I can’t wait till you reach the part of the story you stopped at initially so that I can know what happens next. Please continue to post soon and do it often kay, coz I just cant wait to read more, this story is like one of my first Tibette fanfic loves hehe mwahh :)
