“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Tina answered, keeping her hand on Bette’s back and smiling tenderly at the brunette.

Alice rolled her eyes and was about to come up with another remark when she noticed that Carmen was drinking her coffee with a look of concentration on her face as if she was trying to remember something but had a hard time doing it.

Alice found another victim for her rotten mood and said jokingly, “Hey Carmen, are you trying to get rid of all the naughty thoughts about that Hot Blondie that was hitting on you Friday night? Thank God, Shane is such a trustful person. If you were my girlfriend, I’d be all over you to keep the vultures away and kicking that Blondie’s ass in the process.”

Carmen suddenly interrupted Alice’s banter and said seriously, “Actually yes, I was thinking about her…”

“Aha,” Alice exclaimed, not letting her finish, “Should Shane be concerned? Because she won’t stay single for long, honey, if you’re gonna drop her for that Blondie,” she laughed, sipping her coffee.

“No, it’s you and Bette who should be concerned,” Carmen replied.

“What?!!” both Alice and Bette exclaimed.

“Well, okay, here’s the deal. Her name is Amy. She’s a government agent, something to do with alcohol, weapons…I’m not sure.”

“Carmen,” Alice interrupted her again impatiently, “We are not interested in her resume, what does she have to do with Bette and me?”

“Patience, Alice, patience,” Carmen said seriously, “Her ‘resume’, as you call it, has everything to do with Bette and you. She didn’t tell me much at first. It was all the usual bullshit about how hot I am and that she wanted to show me the road to heaven if I’d care to join her in the bathroom during my next break…”

“See, as soon as Dana and I started that making-out-in-the-bathroom tradition, the Planet’s bathroom saw more action than D-day,” Alice barged in again.

“Alice,” Tina said, worrying about Bette, “will you please shut up for a minute and let Carmen finish.”

Alice pouted as Carmen looked thankfully at Tina and continued, “I told her that I already have a map to heaven given to me by my gorgeous girlfriend…” Carmen lovingly touched Shane’s hand as her lover kept drinking her coffee and smiling.
