Chapter 8: Letting your feelings go…and flow (Bette and Christina learn something about each other and Tina learns some shocking news)
Place: Orange County, CA
Year: 1885
(Previously) “Tea is served, Madame,” Sarah announced and the rest of the evening passed in pleasant conversations, occasional laughter and a genuine atmosphere of happiness and peace that Elizabeth thought she would never feel anymore.
Christina suggested to begin working on the paintings the next morning to have enough time to complete the series for the upcoming show. Elizabeth agreed wholeheartedly, hoping that if she will absorb herself in the art she could forget about Eric for awhile. And she really needed extra time to paint everything that her mother requested of her.
However, deep inside, Elizabeth was fully aware of one more reason behind it. She felt an unbelievable and amazing connection with Christina and wanted to spend more time with her to find out where that feeling came from.
It was so new to Elizabeth that she couldn’t define or categorize it. In truth, she thought that Christina was such a genuine and kind person that it seemed that everyone around her felt immediate attraction and sincere admiration for her, and Elizabeth was no exception.

Christina was always cheerful and willing to help anyone in need. She was truly interested in providing any assistance to Elizabeth, especially after hearing the story that had been told to her by all-knowing Alicia. After Alicia’s initial shock of seeing Christina wore off, she became her usual self, chatting and laughing as if nothing had happened.
Alicia was also present during all the painting sessions, helping with cleaning the brushes, mixing paints, and preparing canvases. Those three became inseparable in a week. Elizabeth felt completely blessed with two new amazing friends, whom she regarded as her sisters, especially because her half-sister Katie was getting married at the end of September.
It was less than a month away, and the preparations kept them all extremely busy. Katie was unable to spend as much time with Elizabeth as she normally did, and she felt somewhat guilty. The two sisters were really close and Katie always tried to find time to be with her younger sister, watching her paint or singing for her. In spite of the age difference, they had a close and genuine sisterly bond that Elizabeth always cherished and loved.

OK, now what do you mean ” this story doesn’t attract many readers ” ? How is that possible ? Are you sure you’ve been “promoting” this fic right ( lol ! ) ? I mean, seriously, I’m genuinely shocked to read this. I love this story, I really do and I find it very enthralling… And everytime you post an update, after reading it I find myself thinking : ” damn it, this is so short !!! She can’t do this to us ! This is called “torture”, B&TF ! ”
OMG that was definitely a cliff hanger! Did Eric get out somehow and made Bette pay for his arrest? Can’t wait until your next update…you have my interest in this story!
Bette seems to have died a horrible death. I hope that they can find that love again in a safer time period.

LOL… Okay, now, who is the big tease???… Ahahah… This story is getting better and better. I’ve always loved slow building and unconventional Tibette stories, and gotta say that I’m served with this one! I love this, B&TF, and I can’t wait to see what happens next and to follow the adventures of Chris(Tina) and Eliza(Bette). I think you have great stuff in store, and this is getting really exciting. I wonder how Bette died, and I can only speculate about how B&T will finally meet. Oh, and this thingie with Alice is more than intriguing… Thanks for everything (not only talking about the fic) and please, please, please, continue reposting this fic, pretty please! K ;)
This story is amazing despite what you might think my talented friend, you wrote it incredibly as a beginner and now look at you, you are one of the biggest and most talented writers on the site with the mistakes and without them, you are what you are Hun and we love you for that. Thank you for this beautiful chapter, believe me any chapter that has Bette and Tina in it turns out to be amazing and so full of everything.
