“OK … well I was dating this entertainment lawyer…” Tina finally gave in and started to tell how she and Bette met.

“Eric.” Alice interrupted and Tina gave her the evil eye.

“What? …. Tina I was there.” Alice responded, giving Tina no choice but to sit quietly as Alice took over the telling of the story

“Alright it was right after me and Bette stopped dating and we were in that best friends’ stage, and Eric was pretty hot I have to say.” Alice now gave the floor back to Tina

“He was a big art collector and one night he took me to this art opening at the Bette Porter Gallery.” Tina continued.

“I helped her find that space you know.” Alice once again interrupting

“I know … anyway she had this amazing reputation for picking all the great artists and she was smart and tough and unbelievably beautiful.”

Eric: Excuse me Bette … this is my girlfriend Tina Kennard. She heads up development at Alphaville Studios. Tina this is Bette Porter.

    Bette: Nice to meet you.

Tina: Nice to meet you too.

Eric: Bette we were wondering, how would Catherine Opie feel about us blowing up that print there to about five by six feet?

Bette: Why don’t you ask her yourself? She’s right over there.

Eric looked to Tina as if to say do you want to go over there, but he’d already lost her attention.

Tina: I think I’ll stay here.

    Eric: OK … Excellent.

Eric walked away while Bette and Tina looked at each other and smiled at his boyish enthusiasm.

“And so then Eric and I got invited to one of her artist dinners. Her artist dinners were really really famous. There were all these people there from Paris, New York, some celebrated intellectual, you know some big shot critic. It was intimidating but she was so warm and gracious.”

Bette: Are you coming to sit down?

Tina: Yeah … I just really like this one.

“And then the earring thing happened.”

Bette: Oh you’ve lost your earring in your hair.

Bette removes the earring tangled in Tina hair and hands it to her.

    Tina: Thank you.

”Tina I didn’t know that Bette was your first girlfriend.” Jenny expressed

      • Dee22 – if you haven’t read this story before you’re in for a ride. It will be very different from what we saw on the show. That’s a promise. Stay with me.

    1. This story makes me sad, i will read it but it is so hard. As a true Tibetter i think it is better that they break up and try to find them selves. Bette made one big mistake and she paid dearly for that.

But Tina is not the innocent poor woman, she is one evil bitch who destroyed Bette with her behaviour.

Ugh, i hate season three! !! But i will stick around.

      • Bibi28 – I know it’s hard. I won’t be reliving S3 for too much longer. The story will take a turn in a few chapters. Thanks for sticking with me.

    2. Really hated Tina in S3 and how she threatened Bette and I know that I also do not like her at the beginning of your story. Granted Bette cheated but she paid for it and let Tina walk all over her and humiliate her in public. Tina for her part, in my opinion, didn’t take any responsibility for the failure of their relationship and as it wasn’t bad enough that she dated Helena Peabody now she is working for her and helps her to invade herself with their friends. At least Bette is aware of the fact that she should not let Tina treat her like she does any longer and that she has to put herself together without Tina’s help. So looking forward to your next post, and thank you so much for posting this exceptional story.

      • as1219. I’m so glad to see you reading and commenting on this story. You were an integral part of it when I originally posted. I totally agree about how Tina treated Bette. Bette’s affair was a betrayal but Tina’s revenge was evil. She did everything in her power to break Bette and almost succeeded. As you know I can’t abide a broken Bette. She’s going to come back better than ever. :-)

    3. BETTE should have been the happiest woman in WE-HO but HELENA/TINA made her look like a fool.TINA kept the screws in BETTE until that cybersex hic-cup and now alpha BETTE is loose.TINA needs to feel safe again but she goes overboard in this season.pps thanks

      • dunnthat – So true. I hated that Bette allowed herself to be so manipulated by Tina and Helena and later by Jodi. I think that’s why I always write a very strong Bette, but her heart is her character and you can’t get away from that. Thanks for sticking with the story. If you haven’t read it before I think you will enjoy the ride once we get over these hurdles.
