Tina nods towards me.

“I guess no matter what, we will always be the two boring grandma’s to our friends.” I joke.

“Yeah.” She agrees with me.

“Hey Bette.” Danielle says approaching.

“Hey.” I look up to see her approaching closer before she is standing right beside me.

“Bette, are you coming tonight?” Shane asks.

I look up to see her beginning to sit next to me. “That is a good question. I told Rachel I’ll be thinking about it.”

“Gotten any numbers it?” I nudge her shoulder while chuckling.
“Just 3.” She says laughing back and covering her face before taking a sip of her beer.

I roll my eyes and smile. “I’m kind of surprised you didn’t bring along Allison.”

“I’m not too sure about her yet.”

“Don’t you want love, Shane?”

“I tried and I ruined it, I’ve had two failed relationships with people I really cared about.”

“You know they say “3rd times a charm” right?”

I see a smile appear across her face.

“Maybe you should give this a try, Shane.” Tina cuts in. “I’m sorry to be listening.”

“It’s all right, TK.” Shane says. “I just don’t know what I want to do.” She says scratching the back of her head.

“I feel like you really like this girl.” I say.

“Bette’s right.” Tina says. “I can tell by the way you talked about her that day in the car.”

“Guys.” Shane shakes her head.

“Everyone needs love, Shane.” Tina says smiling.

“Trust me there is no better feeling than love.” I cut in and secretly glance at Tina as she catches my eyes and I quickly look away.

I walk myself through the resort and back towards my room.

“Baby sis, what’s with the face?”

I stop in my tracks when Kit appears before me.

“What do you mean?”

“Now, come on. You know me better than that. What’s is up baby girl?”

I turn my back to her and press my hand against the wall and sigh.

“You better start speakin’.”

”I don’t think I can do this.”

“Do what?”

“This better not be about Tina.” Kit’s voice begins to build anger. ”Nothing is ever good enough for you Bette, you have to stop doing this shit.”

”If I could stop myself I would, but I can’t.”

”You haven’t even been here for a damn day.”

”I know.” I pause. ”I know.”

”This is getting repetitive.”

”You think I don’t already know that.”

”I honest to god thought after 3 years, that you two finally had grown up. You guys moved on, finally realized that you both were unhappy together. But no, here we are again. Just like the other 48 times you two split.”

”I just need to stay away from her as much as I can.”

”We are all here together, Bette. We have planned events that include us all. You are going to be around her everyday.”

”I’ll try to stay away as much as I can.”

”You have to get over yourself, Bette.” I hear more anger come from her voice. ”Did you forget about Rachel? You just gonna leave her to be alone, baby girl?”

I sigh and run my hands through my hair.

”This has to stop. You can’t just think about yourself. Did you also forget that Tina and Danielle are together?” I hear her release a sigh. ”I should have known this was gonna happen baby sis. How many times did I tell you?”
