Bette’s eyes were dazed and unfocused when Tina pulled away, her bottom lip held gently in Tina’s teeth for a moment.
“I am not upset with you Beloved, not at all…” she whispered.
“I love it when you call me that” Bette responded, just as softly. “Can we hang on to this paperwork, you know… just in case…” she asked, resting her forehead on Tina’s.
Tina chuckled. “You don’t give up do you? Yes, Baby. We can keep it just in case. God help me, I love you madly Bette Porter.”
“Even though I am a controlling, arrogant, stubborn pain in your ass?” she asked, one eyebrow raised.
“Especially because you are those things. It’s sexy when you take charge. It’s even hotter when you talk to me about it like you just did. When do you have to go to work? Because I could use a post-mind-blowing-toe-curling-back-arching orgasm then argument cuddle with my wife”
“Oh her…”
“Yes. Her…”
“Well she has decided to take the day of off work, her wife might need her to help her dress or take a shower or feed grapes to her.”
Tina was speechless.
Their Gallery opening was in four days. And Bette was home, here. With her. This was unheard of. Her eyes filled with tears, she blinked and smiled softly at Bette, who was smiling back at her.
“Babe. Thank you. Come here…”
They lay facing each other on the couch, Bette careful with her head tucked neatly in Tina’s neck as Tina ran her fingers through her curls and over her cheek. Bette was mindful to keep her legs off of Tina, but she did move her hand under Tina’s shirt to caress her stomach and ribcage and then higher, happy to feel that Tina was not wearing a bra. Tina kissed the top of her head, leaving her face buried in the soft curls, breathing her in.
Using one hand, Tina easily unbuttoned the top button on Bette’s shirt, revealing the top curves of her breasts and her white, lacy bra. Bette shifted more towards her back to give Tina a better view as her wife begin to slowly caress her neck, chest and then the upper slope of her breast, tracing the edge of the bra with her fingertips.
Bette’s eyes closed as Tina reached under the lace to rub her nipple, Bette groaning. “God Tina…”
“Damn. So Sexy.” Tina purred, pulling the cup of the bra down to watch her fingers on Bette’s nipple as it hardened and puckered, a beautiful deep color.
“You feel good…” Bette said, her eyes still closed, her own hand moving slowly over Tina’s stomach.
“I can’t use my whole hand to make love to you…”
“I know, it’s ok Honey… your fingers are doing just fine…”
“I can’t get on my knees to taste you either…”
“It’s not a problem Tee… fuck that feels good…”
“Come sit on my face…”
“Your chin…”
“I don’t care, I want to taste you Bette”
“Tee, it is…oh that’s good… it is fine, really… I promise…”
The doorbell rang again, interrupting what was turning into an interesting dilemma for Tina, who dropped her head back on the couch pillow in frustration as Bette sat up and fixed her bra quickly, buttoning the top button of her blouse.
“It’s tragic”
“It’s temporary…”
“You’re beautiful…” she called out to Bette as she again went to answer the door.
A get-well gift basket was delivered from the studio, full of fruit and nuts and chocolate. Bette held it up like a prize as she sauntered over to Tina who was looking at her with an amused expression on her face.
“Well at least Eric didn’t jump out of the basket with a bow on his fat head…” Tina quipped, making Bette laugh.
“There is that… here eat some chocolate and I’ll take the ice packs to the kitchen…”
“I’d rather eat you” Tina replied seriously, eyeing Bette as she walked by.
“We need to go next door and see Shane, a little walk would be good for you.”
Next: Elena stuns Bette. The Bath tub. A baby?

Love it. Now this is the Bette and Tina I know. They screw up from time to time, but they see where they have erred and they correct their ways. No one is perfect – its how you respond which makes all the difference. Bette managed to let Tina know how she felt without admitting that she was wrong. I think she knows she was wrong to act in this manner without talking to Tina – but she has not admitted it. Maybe when they talk about Tina’s plan it will come out in the conversation.
A basket of fruit from the studio? That is a surprise. Must have been Tina’s assistant responsible for that. Surely it isn’t Eric.

That was close! Once again Bette steam-rolled over Tina without even thinking of asking Tina if and how she will adress the situation at work. Good thing that Bette stopped herself at the last second. The old Bette show up and tried to control and run Tina’s life. Not a nice sight.
I hope she understands that her actions with the lawyer showed a great disrespect for Tina. I also hope that Bette will apologize to Tina.

In every chapter you let us see how they have grown. Bette should have discussed it with Tina, but i really love her explanation behind her actions and that Tina can see and understand it as Bette being worried for her and what it could do to her love for her work.
Hope you will have more time in between your travels to update!
Crisis averted for now! The arrogant, stubborn , pain in Tina”s lovely ass is growing step by step. She has to learn to trust that she might not be the all knowing partner. Tina left the passive aggressive behavior behind too. Just maybe these two can continue their growth to a more powerful relationship. PPS Happy New Year!
