There was just enough room for Bette to get in as well, turning off the bedside light to leave the room illuminated by moonlight.
Tina reached for her instantly, her warm hands cupping Bette’s face as they lay close facing each other, their bodies sighing on contact, her breath warm on Bette’s face making her shiver. This was one of Bette’s favorite moments of the day, that moment when you first crawl into crisp sheets after a long day and your lover reaches for you. She smiled at her wife.
Tina smiled back, “I love you” she whispered, her voice soft and sweet as she kissed Bette on the nose and then in between her eyes and then on her forehead, sloppy and noisy kisses that made Bette smile at their vigor and sincerity. “I really really love you…”
“You’re tipsy my Love”
“I know. I really am. You feel so good Baby… like a delicious treat…”
She leaned back and unbuttoned Bette’s top, then moved the collar over her wife’s shoulder to expose her breasts to her eyes. With one hand, Tina slowly traced Bette’s collarbone and throat, her fingers moving slowly and her gaze following the route her fingers were taking. She was intent on her exploration and Bette felt oddly touched by the obvious tenderness Tina was displaying. It wasn’t overly sexual, it was sweet… loving… affectionate.
“I remember the first time I saw these beauties” Tina said, her fingers now roaming the upper swells of Bette’s breasts with delicate touches as she raised her eyes to look at Bette.
“I knew” Tina continued seriously, her eyes traveling back down as her fingers traced the side curves of her left breast, gentle and loving. She kissed the nipple tenderly.
“You knew?” Bette whispered, letting out a breath she didn’t know she was holding. She felt utterly dismantled by the intimacy, the touching, the sweetness.
“Yep, I knew I wanted to see them every day!” Tina replied and was rewarded by a deep belly laugh from Bette, who was expecting something much more profound given how she was feeling. She pulled a giggling Tina to her and they laughed together, Tina’s head tucked in her neck, resulting in more sloppy wet kisses that made Bette squirm and giggle.

What is it what Bette want to tell/share with Tina?
So many questions i want to see answered. I hope you are able to update soon.
You really have me at the edge of my seat with the plan for Chicago. Nicely done, always fading the paragraph or the scene with just a teaser to allude they talk about it and to build up the tension.
Like Bette I’m a little anxious about Tina’s safety.
Loved how Tina turned the tables and managed to help Bette and ease her workload. T + B complement each other so well.
Alice did good to point the right people of the press to Jody’s doings.

Despite Bette’s doubts, I believe Tina, Alice, Shane, Lara and Tasha with Bette’s help will have a good plan. They will also have some alternatives in the event some part does no work out. All they will need in the end is the phone number to the Chicago PD and our friend Eric will be unemployed. The only thing that will save Eric is if he behaves himself appropriately and that is not likely.
I like that Aaron is getting a little put out with Eric. Tina is producing even though she is at home and Eric is doing nothing.
Jodi is getting her just rewards as evidenced by her own misstatements and misdeeds. When to take credit for work that is not yours, sooner or later it will catch up with you. And the fact that Tina and Bette did not take revenge for the “Core Values” exhibit will not cause them any harm to their reputations and careers.
Great chapter…love the humor and the intimacy. And I love that Bette and Tina are working their relationship in a healthy stable fashion. Even the fact that Bette has asked for some alone time and it is being granted by Tina is a good thing for their relationship. Bette promises to tell Tina what’s on her mind later and I believe she will. Everyone needs a bit of alone time to process things.
