“Good.” He was about to hang up when Helena grabbed the phone to everyone’s surprise. Bette shook her head in warning, but the heiress opened her mouth.
“This is Helena Peabody.”
The man paused, then he asked, “what do you want?”
“You made a mess in my prison. Tell Jacob that I am not pleased with the bloody scene, and I want payback.”
“In what form?” He prepared to negotiate.
Helena glanced at the shuddering blonde, and smirked, “No innocent woman will take the fall of your dirty job, so I suggest you don’t expect to get your Black Memba back any time soon.” Then she added, to push him, “and I don’t offer protection for a hit girl either. If the cleaning detail decides to take revenge, I won’t stop them.”
After a short silence, he said, “Fair enough, do whatever you want with her. She’s all yours.” Then he hung up.
Cindi completely broke down. Her last hope for the higher up to protect her had been shattered. She slumped down to the cold tile and sobbed.
With a scold, Helena gestured the girl to stand, “see? That’s the kind of people you sold your loyalty to.”
Cindi chocked on her tears and looked up to the Brit with dumb confusion.
Helena rolled her eyes, “You do know you didn’t actually kill her, right?” She pointed to the brunette standing, alive, well for the most part, beside them, “You’re my bitch now. Tell the nurse you slipped on your hand tomorrow. Go on, fuck off.”
As the girl scurried away, Bette creased her brow, impressed by Helena’s savage but diplomatic people skill. “The skunk’s gonna worship you.” With that, she returned to the nurse’s station, feeling a giant weight lifted from her shoulders. Relaxing into the bunk, she took her time to rest and lick her wounds.
At the same time, a lithe figure paced outside the iron walls, dim lamp lights bouncing off golden hair. In the car, there sat three dark-haired women chatting among themselves. They had been denied entry upon arrival, for the prison’s regulations, but Tina demanded the prison guard to contact warden Ferrer.
So at first light of dawn, the warden showed up, followed by a government plated car, from which came out a very displeased looking agent Morris.

I don’t actually know how the agencies work in the US, I just looked them up in wikipedia and bullshitted a lot. Anything to bring the two back together, ya know?
Shout out to Bibi, pikiangelica, dunn, wkm, tanishaa, lip, and all the other silent viewers. You’re the reason I keep writing. I’m thankful that you stuck with this story during the darkest time and bumpy roads lol. From now on, it’s gonna be a pretty smooth ride.

Well I have something to say, I’m mad at you Robyn because this story is not supposed to end yet… I want more.. I love this story, it’s great and different and great and yeah really great… So I’m not ready for the last chapter.. I want sappy but I also want more… And if we have to have a last chapter please make it with lots and lots of loving-NC-17 type loving and very very long with lots of cute sappy moments and great conversations.. And information on what happens to other key players…

Well HELENA is a good guy after all. TINA was right to call him on this and defend BETTE.YEAH you got the agencies right all about self and not about sacrifices of the one doing the work.now let’s really get these two off by themselves so the healing can begin and thanks for posting.

This was a great chapter, loved the way Tina is there supporting her woman.
Wonderful chapter. This has been areal nail biter for me, I can’t wait to see what happens next for these two. Maybe you could even do a little something special for Helena for helping Bette out. The feds are trying to take all of Bette’ money but I’m sure she probable has some stashed so she and Tina can start their new lives without having to worry about being poor. PPS :)
