    So this is it, what you’ve been waiting for, right? Lots and lots and lots of Danish…eventually.

                “Stay here, Dane. I’ll be right back. I have to talk to Shane about something real quick.”

                “Okay.” She pouted, dragging her stare away from Alice and into the sea of rockers before her.

                Tina hopped up from the table and pushed her way through the crowd to get to the new comers. “Shane!” She tapped the girl on the shoulder to get her attention.

                “Tina! Thank God, look, I’ve got to tell you something-“

                “There’s Dana! I’m gonna go tell her what’s going on.” Alice said, and rushed off towards the table, leaving Shane to fill Tina in on the huge mess they’d created. “Dana! Hey!” Alice shouted over the music, finally getting the tennis players attention. She sat down next to her and took a deep breath. “Hey, before you say anything, I need to tell you something. Look, Dane, I know what you think about me and Shane, but-“

                “No, it’s great.” Dana interrupted her, shrugging and putting on a fake smile. “I’m totally happy for you. I mean, I want you to be happy, of course.”

                “No, Dana, listen! You should know that-“

                “Alice, please. Let me get this out.” The desperate tone in Dana’s voice made Alice stop trying to explain for a moment. “I don’t know how it happened, I don’t really know when, but I’ve got feelings for…well, someone I shouldn’t.”

                “What?” Alice asked, feeling a sense of dread come over her.

                “I know. It’s weird, and unexpected, and that last person anyone would have ever thought of being with me. I guess I realized I had to tell someone and get it out of my system when you were talking about people dating each other inside of our circle of friends. It figures that now that she’s in a relationship I finally get the courage to tell you.”

               “Oh God!” Alice said, coving her mouth.

               “I just hope that you don’t hate me after me telling you that-“

               “Dana, stop!” She said it loud enough and with such urgency that Dana did pause.

               With a sad and confused face she said “Alice…”

               “You can’t like Shane!” The blonde exploded, throwing her arms up in the air. “She’s… she’s Shane! The one night stand girl, the drugs and alcohol magnet!

    8. Dorky you did it! They’re finally together! :D Typically Danish to not read each other (sometimes too subtle) signs. ;) Dana was too cute with her announcement on the stage. A great ending (which screams for sa follow-up. :P)
