    Something so right

    Chapter 155

Tina looked across at Bette and smiled at how good it was that she was sitting outside in the sunshine tucking into her third slice of toast. Tina picked up her coffee which caught Bette’s eye and their eyes met. Tina

    raised an eyebrow

    “What ! “ Bette demanded

    “Nothing “

    “Tina “

“That’s your third slice of toast and your second glass of orange juice”

    “Are we cutting back ?”

    “No

    – no – just commenting”

    Tina grinned

    – Bette shook her head and laughed

    “I am hungry okay “

“Not complaining “ Tina said ho

lding out her hands in a gesture of surrender

    “You sounded like you were”

    “That wasn’t me complaining

    – its good to see Bette”

    “I feel a lot better

    – I was thinking about maybe just going for a walk around the block in a while”

    “You want any company ?”

    “No

    – I just want to walk for maybe 10-15 minutes “

“That might be too much “

“Only way to find out “

“Do you think you are strong enough ?”

“I think I can walk for 7-8 minutes and then rest and come back”

    Tina nodded

    – she didn’t want to mollycoddle Bette as it was something that was so alien to her. It was one of the things that had most tested Bette’s patience when she had been in the hospital when her mother tried to do it and watching her and knowing what Bette’s reaction was had pulled Tina up short – she was determined not to do what she knew wound her future wife up.

“Okay – take your phone with you okay and call me if it gets too much”

    “I promise “

Tina left it at that and sipped her coffee.

“It was good to roll over in

bed during the night and know that you were there. “

    “How are you feeling ?”

Tina knew that Bette was referring to the few minutes when they had climbed into bed and switched the light out. Lying in the dark with Bette beside her had finally brought it hom

    1. Hey AllyE, I do love the big hairy giant that Finnbar is. It was wonderful to read that Bette was on the mend and that Tina finally let out all of the worried, anxiety, and fear she had been holding on to. It was not healthly but now the gals are slowly getting back to their lives. Finn really is a big softie, challenging Jonathan over his homophobia and his intentions. Just so adorable. Bette and Finn have a real brother/sister vibe going on. It is special as Bette never had that kind of relationship growing up. Willow has really messed up and being left to get on with it. I do understand Finn’s question re an invite to the wedding. I whole heartedly agree with Tina’s decision no to invite her sister. Their day should be one of love and joy, not snide comments and loose cannons. i can’t wait to read more. Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.
