“I knew I was being watched by them “
“They love you “
Tina nodded “It made me realise what great friends we have “
Bette nodded “Did you ever get hold of Alice ?”
“Helena sent her a telegram “
“You can still send telegrams ?”
“Seemingly so “
“Quaint “ Bette commented
“Hang on
– that sounds like someone at the door “
Bette finished her toast and waited to see who would show up. In a few minutes the patio doors slide open and her favourite giant stepped through.
“Hello Porter”
“Finbar ! “ Bette said grinning
– she got up and was quickly lifted off her feet by her future brother in law.
“I came to see how you are
– and I brought a veg box from the farm “
“That’s great “
Tina came out “We have no choice but to eat well
– mom has sent up the biggest veg box in history”
“That is excellent
– nice that my mother in law cares “
“She asked me if I thought some home made cooking would go down well “
“I hope you told her yes “ Bette said
“I said that I wasn’t sure if either of you were really up to cooking at the moment”
“Great
– when will the first pies be arriving ?“
“Probably before the weekend “
“That’s awesome
– I will call her today “Bette was smiling
“Any chance of some coffee sis ?”
Tina smiled “Yes
– anything to eat as well ?”
“Anything that’s going spare “
Tina shook her head and went back into the house.
“You look much better “ Finn said looking down at Bette
“I feel it “ Bette sat down and Finn grabbed a third chair and sat down
“Tina looks happier as well “
“Tina has been through a hard time “
“She’s been worried
– you have to know how much she loves you “
“I do know that – I am trying to persuade her to take it easy”
“Not much chance of that “
“She’s slowed down and is resting
– that’s as much as I hoped she would do. I know what she is like” Bette looked over to make sure they were alone

Tina is so hurt what had happened to Willow…. But as she said life is too short to waste to something like that..beside she’s still her sister.

Hey AllyE, I do love the big hairy giant that Finnbar is. It was wonderful to read that Bette was on the mend and that Tina finally let out all of the worried, anxiety, and fear she had been holding on to. It was not healthly but now the gals are slowly getting back to their lives. Finn really is a big softie, challenging Jonathan over his homophobia and his intentions. Just so adorable. Bette and Finn have a real brother/sister vibe going on. It is special as Bette never had that kind of relationship growing up. Willow has really messed up and being left to get on with it. I do understand Finn’s question re an invite to the wedding. I whole heartedly agree with Tina’s decision no to invite her sister. Their day should be one of love and joy, not snide comments and loose cannons. i can’t wait to read more. Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.
