Something so right – chapter 155

e to Tina that Bette was safe – she still had to fully recover but there was no doubt she was over the worse. Tina had cracked – a few tears had turned into a flood and she had cried for over 15 minutes finally getting it out of her system the fear that she could have lost Bette. Bette had been expecting it and had done nothing other than hold Tina and reassure her. The tears had been cathartic for Tina and after they had abated she had fallen asleep holding Bette and knowing that it would take one heck of a lot to part them now.

Tina nodded “I feel much better”

“I knew you were bottling up your feelings. I had asked Helena if you had lost it and she said that you had only cried a couple of times. I think she’s been waiting to catch you when you crumbled “

“I was so determined that I wasn’t going to “

    “That’s hard “

“At first I didn’t want you to know how terrified I was “

“I knew you were because I was and I could see how scared my mom was and I knew you would be feeling the same”

Tina exhaled “That first two or three days have to go down as one of the worst experiences of my life

    – I was just lost “

    “You hide it well”

“I used to weigh up whether it was worse when you and I fell out when I refused to marry you and you just vanished. “

“Did you come to any conclusions ?”

“Only that it was a dumb game to play “

    “It was “

Tina picked a handful of grapes from the fruit bowl in front of them

“I think you did amazingly well given how it just happened”

“I guess it shows that the human spirit is pretty much unbreakable. I wasn’t going to upset you by showing you how worried I was”

“I knew and I would ask people “

    “Did anyone tell you ?”

    “Finn was worried about you

    – Helena was doing her best to arrange people so that you weren’t alone too much – Shane promised to keep an eye on you as did Dana”

    1. Hey AllyE, I do love the big hairy giant that Finnbar is. It was wonderful to read that Bette was on the mend and that Tina finally let out all of the worried, anxiety, and fear she had been holding on to. It was not healthly but now the gals are slowly getting back to their lives. Finn really is a big softie, challenging Jonathan over his homophobia and his intentions. Just so adorable. Bette and Finn have a real brother/sister vibe going on. It is special as Bette never had that kind of relationship growing up. Willow has really messed up and being left to get on with it. I do understand Finn’s question re an invite to the wedding. I whole heartedly agree with Tina’s decision no to invite her sister. Their day should be one of love and joy, not snide comments and loose cannons. i can’t wait to read more. Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.
