Tina nodded – she did think that she needed some time on her own. As Bette had pointed out as tactfully as possible – she was in danger of getting short with everyone and that would make the week harder than it needed to be.

Bette pulled Tina down and put her arms around her

“Its only 7 days – this time next week we will be the Kennard Porters and we will get dancing and eating great food and getting the good wishes of all our friends – all the people that we love the most – and then – in 8 days time we will be on a beach in Hawaii having three weeks of nothing just each other “

Tina grinned “That sounds like heaven “

“It will be I promise – remember Hawaii when you are getting wound up by your parents “

“I have been thinking a lot about our last trip to Hawaii “

Bette grinned and kissed Tina on the brow

“Go to the gym Kennard and tonight we will snuggle up and reminisce about what happened when we were away the last time in Hawaii “

Bette stood up and stretched her body – feeling a twinge in her back caused by lying on the sofa for too long. At some point in the week she was going to need a massage – it would be terrible if any of her muscles pulled or tweaked itself before the wedding and more importantly – before a three week honeymoon.
