    “You’re not going to lose your job over this Tina. Peggy would not have appointed you as the Studio Head if she didn’t have the utmost confidence in you. Helena wasn’t her first choice. We’ve all made mistakes starting out and even the mighty Peggy Peabody has shown errors in judgment at some point or another so don’t beat yourself up about that. What she’ll expect is to see your true mettle under adversity. Now is when you’ll really prove yourself to be the astute business woman that we all believe in. You just need to put aside all the emotions and take back your control. The media can’t hurt you if you’re the one controlling what gets out.”

    “So you’re suggesting that if anything gets leaked it should come from me?” Tina was starting to see where Bette was going.

    “Exactly. You can turn the publicity to your favor. The key is to be the first to the punch and who better than our dear friend Alice Pieszecki to create a media scandal. With her as your mouthpiece Kate Arden, Eric Peters and anyone else involved in this debacle won’t know what hit them. We can take them all down with a few carefully planted leaks.”

    “You can be pretty devious, you know that?” Tina smiled at Bette’s devilish expression. Her partner was actually having fun with the prospect of destroying Tina’s enemies. “But before we get carried away we need to figure out William’s role in all this. Max suggested I play it pretty close to the vest until we know for sure, but I truly can’t believe he had anything to do with the theft of his own movie. He’s got millions at stake here. It just doesn’t make any sense.”

    “For his sake I certainly hope he’s not involved but we should have an update from Trevor before your meeting. As a matter of fact I should check my phone while I’m thinking about it.” Bette stood up from the ottoman leaving her robe behind. Wearing a skimpy floral patterned G-string lacy panty with matching bra she walked over to where her cell phone was resting on the nightstand. Removing it from the charger, she checked for any new messages before dropping it in her purse.

    6. Welcome back!! So William is in on the deal with Kate and Eric. It amazes me when the rich get so greedy that they risk all their fortunes for a few dollars more. Well it appears that Bette and Tina have the goods on the short egomaniacs and they are about to go down. Thanks for reuniting the lovers. Tina now realizes what love has to do with it. Hopefully she speak aloud her proposal to Bette. PPS

      • majicspider60 I just had to comment on your statement ‘Tina now realizes what love has to do with it.” It’s exactly what I was going for. I didn’t have Tina verbalize the proposal or much of what she was expressing in her thoughts because they have a bit of work to do towards that end, but she’s certainly made the leap to be on the same page as Bette. Sharing her values, understanding how monumental trust is to a relationship, and wanting the same things; unconditional love (not sex) being the bridge to get them there. Thank you.

    9. Hey Bat, sorry for commenting so late on your wonderful chapter, but somehow time seems to fly at the moment. So William definitely is as it seems an active part in this theft. Wondering how long Kate is already involved in this and why she would do it. If I remember correctly Tina at one time mentioned her to be an up and coming director. Anyway I am sure you will connect all the dots for me in your next chapters. Glad to see Tina finally is on the same page as Bette so there is nothing going to come between them in the near future – and hopefully a lot longer. Looking forward to your next post.
