    Soul Mates – Chapter 3

She climbed out of the truck as Tina glared at her while she walked around it. The blonde couldn’t help but notice the beauty and grace that Bette always seemed to carry with her. She was indeed flawless, not that she was going to admit that now anyway.

"Yeah well, I guess I was wrong about all that" Tina said as she climbed out of the truck.

Bette scoffed and laughed at the same time, "Is that so?"

Tina slammed the door of the truck closed, "Yeah, that’s-"

Before she could even think, Bette stepped up to her and pressed her against the truck. Tina couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t move. All the did was stare up into those brown eyes and that smug smirk.

    "Wanna rethink that statement?"

Tina felt her heart beat against her chest rapidly as she looked up at Bette, unable to form any words. She wanted to say something smart, some kind of remark to save her from the situation she was now in but she couldn’t.

Bette didn’t move any closer but Tina wanted her to be and hated herself for desiring such a thing. She shouldn’t have been tempted but she was and she knew it was written all over her face.

"Nothin’ to say now?" Bette asked with a smirk.

Tina swallowed hard, her mouth suddenly felt dry as she struggled with her next words, "Bette, I . ."

Her phone started to ring again and Bette bit the inside of her cheek, frustrated with the interruption. She saw the relief wash over Tina’s features and decided to take a step back, watching as the blonde looked at her for a second before reaching inside her purse.

Tina stared at the caller ID and spoke softly, "I . . have to get this"

Bette clenched her jaw tightly as Tina slowly raised her head to meet their eyes. She could easily see how badly Tina wanted to escape into that phone call, it must have been Helena calling.

"I’ll leave you to it then" Bette said, trying to hide her disappointment.

She turned around and headed inside the bar they were parked next to. Tina easily recognized it as Bette’s sister Kit’s bar/restaurant. Her eyes lingered on Bette’s retreating back for a second more then picked up her phone before it stopped ringing.

    1. When I read this story last night there were no comments, yet. Now that I’m back to comment, there’s nothing left that hasn’t been said. But what I was going to say last night was: “I’ll just wait here, because I’m sure you intend to fix this any minute, now.” ;-)

    2. I mentioned in my last comment that by luck I was able to “rent” Sweet Home Alabama from the library. But like dessert, I’m saving it for last to watch. Great portrayal of Kelly – I just realized how strange it is that generally speaking most everyone who watched TLW are such anti-fans of Kelly and Jodi, when the actresses who portrayed them are good friends with JB. Funny…anyway, thx again for yet another post & the fact that you make them SO long – I LOVE that :D Anxiously awaiting your next post & still can’t wait for the reveal on B’s success!

    3. Loving this so much Liah!!!! Brilliant B&T take on that movie. I was dying reading Kelly’s part, another brilliant take on that, making her a stripper. I can’t wait for more. Thanks Liah😘
