    Soul Singing 4

Liam spent the next twenty minutes setting up a vast array of candles around the house, humming the tune of star wars as he worked. He was just able to write a quick note to Alice before his phone began to ring.

Alice exited the bathroom a new woman, having replaced her jeans and Ramones shirt with a slinky black dress. She was completely taken aback by Liam’s work. As she walked through the hall and into the living room, she couldn’t remember having seen a more romantic scene in her life. The small candles were everywhere – on the dining table, on the fridge, near the windows, down the hall. There were, in fact, so many that there was a healthy golden glow in the entire house.

Alice walked into the kitchen, a giant smile plastered on her face, to find a wonderful roast with vegetables and salad, some sort of fruit tart for dessert and two bottles of very expensive red wine. Underneath the wine lay a folded note:

    Dearest Alice,

I hope the house is up to your expectation (bloody better be)

Have a lot of fun tonight.

The dinner is all ready to go. Because I’m such a good friend I shall allow you to take credit for it – but only this once.

There are a bunch of candles at the door which you need to put in the bathroom, otherwise you will be peeing in the dark.

Also to make the mood even more romantic (yeah! Like that’s possible) I left my ipod and speakers in my room. Use them. They are battery charged.

Have fun, play it safe and say hi to Dana for me.

    Love your lovable love boy,

    Liam.

Alice spent the next ten minutes setting up the candles, dinner and speakers. She had just finished choosing all the songs for the evening when she heard a knock at the door.

Alice opened the door to find a partially soaked Dana in front of her.

“Hey,” Alice said, smiling at the brunette who looked gorgeous despite her wet hair and ruined mascara.. “Did you walk here?”

“Believe it or not all this damage was caused just by walking to your door. It is raining That heavily.” Alice ushered her inside.

    4. Awwww it’s so sweet. It’s such a great story *sigh*. You’re such a great writer. I really wonder what will happen next and it’s so good to read something good about Alice and Dana with, like artichoke points out, all the bad season 3 spoilers.
