Tina for her part had her own ideas of who and what she would become. Through the years as she stretched and grew changing her passions and interests one thing remained constant. She didn’t want anything to do with any kind of easy ride due to her family’s status. She wanted to make her own name, on her own merits. Following around in her mother’s or father’s shadow wasn’t for her. Tina was determined to make her own path. It was bad enough that she agreed to be a lawyer. Her parents had Justin to thank for that decision. If she was going to go into the family business she refused to do it on anything other than her own terms.
Justin wasn’t happy with Tina being so far away but it afforded him breathing room of his own. He had his share of liaisons on the down low. All of these women were kept far away from any connection to Tina or her family. While he wasn’t ashamed of any of these girls, he didn’t want the complications throwing any wrenches into his plans. He thought of it as his freedom as well as Tina’s but at the end of the line he still considered Tina his girl.
Justin himself completed law school in Austin at the University of Texas and currently was a junior partner in Tina’s father’s firm. Once a month, Tina’s Dad gave Justin a paid Friday off to fly over and visit Tina for the weekend. Tina’s father even went as far as allowing him to expense the trip on the firm’s expense account. For Justin he liked to think of these monthly trips as his time to claim his property, making sure Tina was still his.
He liked arriving in town to play the role of good guy who could afford to take Tina out to great restaurants and show her off a bit. Tina had no idea that he father was paying for all of it.
It was Tina’s willful streak of wanting to accomplish everything on her own that put her in the crosshairs of her mother and father’s ire. For Tina the simple fact that Justin was her boyfriend and she dated him bought her more wiggle room with her parents to strike out on her own. She knew he reported back after his visits which just meant she acted accordingly for the short time he was around.

Different, that´s for sure but definitely interesting.
Hm.. Please correct me if I’m wrong… So the main story is in the present, and the following story-nomadic life is in the past… And Bette was a man.. Which is interesting approach :-p does it meant Bette will be a woman in the present life in such of a reincarnation way or?? LOL yup! Confusing! But maybe only for me..:-p. I’ll keep following your posting to find out more :-) thanks for the new story. :-)
