    Chapters 3&4

     

    Bette placed her head on her hand as she looked on staring at her daughter play with her toy.

     

    Bette stared in wonderment at her daughter, she was beautiful, using a white donor had given Angie the same mocha colored skin as her and she had inherited Bette unruly curly hair except Angie’s had subtle blonde streaks, Angie’s eyes weren’t dark brown like hers they were several shades lighter they were a greenish brown, Angie was beautiful. Bette remembered back to the early months of her pregnancy it had been a rough, soon after she found out she was pregnant the morning sickness set in and it seemed to last day and night she had lost so much weight the first three months the Dr. Wilson worried for both Bette and the baby, the labor wasn’t any better, she was in labor for over 18 hours, Dr. Wilson finally convincing Bette who was hell bent in having the baby naturally to have a caesarian since the prolonged and intense labor had put both the mother and the baby in distress.

     

    Now here she was her little Angel 1 year later, a beautiful and by all accounts healthy and happy baby girl, and Bette had done it all by herself…with the help of her friends.

     

    It had been almost two years since she last seen or heard from Jodie, not since that night of her departure. Jodie had sent her a total of two e-mails one telling her where she could send her things and another a few months ago wanting to know how she was doing, of course Bette did not reply, What saddened Bette was that Jodie never mentioned or asked about the well being of the baby, not that Bette expected her to care but it made hr sad none the less, she wondered if Jodie even knew she had given birth to a healthy little girl that was once meant to be their daughter.

     

    Bette was taken out of her thoughts when Angie let out a cry.

     

    “Awe… is my boo hungry?”

     

    “Come on let’s feed you some oatmeal and juice.”

     

    Bette had just finished feeding Angelica and was walking into the nursery to change her when the phone rang.
