    Chapters 3&4

     

    “Hello”

     

    “Ms. Porter its Miranda”

     

    “Hey Miranda, did you forget the time I need you here?”

     

    Panic set in, as the other end of the line suddenly became very quiet.

     

    “What, wait Miranda are you cancelling on me?”

     

    “Well… see there’s this concert I really want to go to any well I wasn’t going to go because well it was sold out and I couldn’t get tickets but then my sister, was actually able to get me tickets and well I really want to go and it’s going to be so cool, Ms. Porter.”

     

    “Wait…wait…wait Miranda are you cancelling on me? And you have a sister?”

     

    “Yeah her name is Tina”

     

    “Tina” Bette repeated

     

     

     

    Chapter 4

     

    “Yeah, Tina” Miranda repeated

     

    “She’s my older sister she was living in New York, but she’s back now, she’s living with us until she finds a place of her own and well I talked her in to babysitting for you I mean if that’s alright…I know its short notice Ms. Porter and my mom said I made a commitment to you and I should honor it but I really want to go to this concert so, is there any way you would please agree to let my sister watch Angie? Pleeeaase”

     

    Bette heard some wrestling for the phone on the other side of the line

     

    “Give me the phone”  Bette heard another voice say

     

    “Hello”

     

    “Yes” Bette answered confused

     

    “I’m sorry, I must apologize for my sister, I’m afraid this is all my fault, through some of my connections I was able to get these tickets for a concert that has been sold out for months and well being that it will be Miranda’s birthday in a couple of weeks I thought it would be nice if I could get her tickets, I didn’t realize she had already accepted to babysit for you Ms. Porter,”

     

     

    “Well that all sounds very nice….” Bette paused

     

    “Tina” Tina answered

     

    “Like I was saying it all sounds nice and all…Tina…but unfortunately it puts me in a bind I have a very important dinner meeting scheduled for tonight and I unfortunately now have no sitter”
