Talice Lovers: Chapter 3

”I don’t know if Simone told you but she’s been so kind to help me out of a little jam.”
“Oh really what kind of jam, “Janet asked curiously.
”Simone has been so kind to lend me some money I appreciate it and thank you. I’m glad you’re here because we need to talk can we talk outside in private?” Tasha wants to handle this her way quickly and to the point. But she doesn’t want to push Simone away totally. She appreciates the fact that she knows Simone has her back but understands and respects Alice feelings as well. Simone follows Tasha outside to the porch. Alice, Janet and Chris look at each other.
”What was that about, “Janet asked.
“Uh, when Tasha’s done I think it would be best it came from her instead of me.” Thank goodness Alice is thinking because in Tasha’s mind she’s right, it’s not her place.
“Yeah good looking, “Chris whispers in her ear as she knows her sister all too well.
“Oh ok, “Janet responds knowing Slim will tell her when she is ready. Tasha and Simone are sitting on the porch. Simone on the swing seat rocking. Tasha in her favorite chair not too far from her.
“First off thank you,” Simone is looking at her intently with those sad puppy eyes.
“You’re welcome you know I’d do anything for you I hope you know that…anything.”
“You know, I don’t want any hard feelings between us Simone we’ve been through too much and shared too much I just need you to understand that I’m with Alice and will be with Alice. I wish you nothing but happiness and I want us to still be friends. Simone looks at Tasha and starts humming the song, ”If Ever You’re In My Arms Again.”
“Damn girl you got a song for everything, “Tasha says playfully.
“It’s how I get through so I guess I’ve got to update my playlist with a lot of ”getting over you” music.”
“Oh come on now it’s been a while for you and me.”
“Like I said, I just thought we’d get a second chance when you said you needed the house I didn’t think you were bringing someone you planned on spending the rest of your life with.”
