“Did you honestly think we would get back together? And now especially since my fiancée saw you trying to kiss me!?”

“Yeah, I did, but look when Papi told me you were sorta out that was my reason for coming back to the states so quickly after the off season. I figured if I had any chance at making things work with you, I’d retire, find work here and just be with you.”

“You forget I’m in the service, “Tasha’s voice trails off as soon as the words left her lips because she knew her status in the military could possibly be changing shortly, “Look this is a loan when I get back to Cali I’m going to figure out what happened with my money and pay you back. I just want you to understand that I care about you, value our friendship, but that is all I can offer you.”

“Yeah, as hard as it is to admit I understand, “she says having enough sense to not want to totally push Tasha away, “You’ve made your point but understand this if  when she does anythng to hurt you or you guys just don’t work out, I’m here for you and I will always be here for you.”

Tasha looks at Simone and with a half frown, “How can you sit here and say that hell you could meet someone tomorrow and you’d be like Tasha who and you know it.”

“I can say that because you’re completely wrong what you don’t understand woman is that you’ve got my heart. What I feel for you is real I’ve tried to get over you but I just can’t but I will respect your and Alices relationship and I am truly sorry for trying to kiss you.” Tasha is glad that finally Simone gets it but in all heart Tasha loves her too but it’s just not the kind of love she feels for Alice. They just sit there looking at each other for a moment they eventually hug then laugh.

“I don’t know what kind of hug that was but I will always have a place in my heart for you believe me.” Simone gets up and leaves but before she got in her car she smiled at Tasha and blew her a kiss. In Tasha’s mind she hoped Alice wasn’t watching this. After Simone pulled off she walked back in the house feeling good about her conversation with Simone she took one good look at Alice and pulled her up from the couch and gave her a big hug then whispered in her ear, “Thank you, baby,” Alice grabs the back of Tasha neck and gives her one of those mind blowing kisses forgetting both Janet and Chris were still in the room. Janet started to clear her throat to break up the alarming kiss.
