Janet and Chris looked at each other and said, we’ll do. Dee looked at Chris and when they got in the car, asked Chris, ”How close were they?”
Janet responds, ”Simone was Tasha’s first.”
“So what happened?”
”No offense to Alice, but dang, Simone is fine!” When Dee said this, she caught herself and looks at Chris, “Sorry, babe you’re still the only one that’s captured my heart.”
“Yes, Simone is very attractive but at that time Tasha just wasn’t ready for the whole situation,” Janet continued, ”She was just coming to grips with her feelings and needed time to process everything. Simone was already out, getting ready to graduate and go overseas to play ball she wanted Tasha to go with her but Tasha just wasn’t fully there.”
Chris looking at her mom says, ”Wow, how do you know all this?”
Janet looks at Chris and says, with a smile, ”Always remember you can come to me and talk about anything.”
Once Simone went back into the house, she went straight to her room. All afternoon, she thought of Tasha about what they used to have. Yeah, it was hard sometimes, but Simone was willing to work through the tough times, because Tasha seemed worth it no she was still worth it, beautiful, smart, and passionate. They had so much in common both from VA and strong fathers that they had a good relationship with. Both loved basketball Simone loved to get into it with Tasha on their favorite players. Simone was a diehard Michael Jordan fan, loved the flash; Tasha, was more of a team oriented fan/and or a fan of the underdog, she loved to take the other side, whoever it was, when the Bulls would play; they’d get into some pretty spirited debates. That’s what turned Simone on to Tasha, her willingness to ”debate.” That’s what Simone first noticed when they were in that Intro Sociology discussion class and Simone would watch Tasha talk, sharing her opinion in class, hoping all the while that she could ”talk” to her. Simone had accepted her sexuality in high school and was very comfortable with who she was. Discreet, but very comfortable. By the time she got to college she figured she’d meet some women, love them and leave them, but then she met Tasha. She fell for Tasha, hard. Had to admit to herself later on that she was really in love with her.

I am a true blue Tibette fan, but I love Tasha so I look forward to reading more of this fic. I did not like the Alice from the show or most of the fiction here being portrayed as a nosy busy body so I look forward to seeing her in a new light. PPS :)
