Man: Ok give her a few minutes to take in her surroundings, it’s not uncommon that after a coma state like sleep that the patients can be delusional or confused on what’s reality and what’s not.
Other man voice: Yea sure doctor, do you want me to try speaking to her now?
Man: no I will do the rest, could you please go tell the nurse to bring me all her vitals report?
Other Man: of course.
Five minutes late he walked back in the room.
Other Man: She will be in here shortly Doctor.
Man: Thank you.
The man leaned over Elizabeth while her stiff body was lying on the bed. He thought she was one of the bravest women for doing what she did. Elizabeth blinked her eyes a few times and began to stir.
Man: shh just relax, don’t try to move right now it can be very difficult after coming out of something like this.
Elizabeth: Who are you and where am I?
Man: I’m sorry Elizabeth let me reintroduced myself, I’m Doctor Henry Young and this is my assistant doctor Josh Breckers, you met us the day you went under but it’s normal to have forgotten that.
At that moment the nurse walked back in.
Henry: Thank you nurse, oh let me introduced you formally to our patient. Elizabeth Porter this is Nurse Christina Kennard.

Christina: It’s nice to meet you Elizabeth Porter, you had us all worried for a minute there.
Elizabeth was in shock not because she woke up in this strange lab but because she was staring at the woman who has invaded her dreams for who knows how long, but how was it possible they had never met.
Elizabeth: Tina?
The doctors all looked at each other, clearly Nurse Christina reminded Elizabeth of someone in her dreams, the question is which one?
Nurse Christina then looked down at Elizabeth right into her chocolate orbs thinking to herself that this was one of the most beautiful woman she has ever seen but what would make her want to volunteer for something like this, clearly she knew the danger of this study. Both women was staring a hole right through each other which didn’t go unnoticed by Henry nor Josh who was getting a little agitated because he had a thing for the nurse and always wanted her to look at him that way. Christina suddenly felt the awkwardness then cleared her throat and snap back to reality.

Freud was one of the researchers on dreams (logical at that time did not have the technology we have today, continuing) and explained a very important concept: when you sleep your subconscious mind awakens. And when we wake up, wake up the conscious mind and the subconscious falls asleep. Freud also found that during the dream all our frustrated desires, emotions, thoughts that were not released during the day are released by our unconscious mind. So are our dreams, according to Freud.
You are very talented and creative.

Just finished up this story and I have to tell you I did not foresee the twist here at the last. What a great idea, and you carried it off so wonderfully!
I laughed through much of the chapters and loved your author-asides…those were hilarious and I could even see your face as you made them and hear your voice. No, TN1, I don’t have you under surveillance :), but your “voice” and personality along with your Twitter pict really come through your writing.
On a serious note, I think Kit had it partially right a few chapters ago when she said technology would destroy us. In a way it might, but not because the technology itself isn’t good or useful, but that our own humanity often gets left behind because of it. I think about how often people are able to be cruel and judgmental via the internet because they can remain anonymous.
Anyway, I liked this story a bunch and am glad you are writing so prolifically. Dang, I wish I could write as fast and as much as you! I’ll check out your other offerings, but first I need to go back and catch up on some other writers.
