Christina: um, will there be anything else Doctor Henry?
Henry: no that’s all nurse, you may take your leave.
Christina: very well
She then looked back down to Elizabeth one more time before speaking.
Christina: you try and get some rest Elizabeth Porter.
With that last sentence Christina turned and walked out the door, leaving a confused Elizabeth still lying there wondering what the hell was going on.
Josh: I think I will take my leave also Doctor, let me know if you need anything else from me.
Henry: I think we will be fine Josh, why don’t you and Nurse Christina go on to lunch.
Doctor Henry, Josh, and Nurse Christina were the only staff on duty seeing that they were working out of private lab owned by Henry. He had been a scientist for 10 years and one of the smartest men in his area of field, his wealth was even greater than his achievements and that says a lot. Henry looked at Elizabeth again and starting removing patches and monitors from her, he spoke very softly not wanting to cause more disturbance or confusion to her, he saw the frantic look on her face and thought that this was going to be harder to explain to Elizabeth than getting her to volunteer.
Henry: its ok Elizabeth I know you probably wondering what’s going on here just let me these things off of you and we can discuss any questions you have, ok?
Elizabeth nodded with a small smile on her face, she wasn’t dead or badly hurt so whatever they been doing to her couldn’t have been that bad, the question is how long has she been sleep?
Henry: there you go, now do you think you can rise up slowly for me.
Elizabeth tried to rise up on her own but suddenly felt dizzy and laid back down.
Henry: its ok don’t try to rush it, just take you time and when you feel up to it try again.
Elizabeth rested for a minute or two then tried again and slowly she rose up, put her feet on the floor to try and walk taking small steps by steps. Wow this is stronger woman…Henry thought to himself…different from the woman who walked through his doors not too long ago.

Freud was one of the researchers on dreams (logical at that time did not have the technology we have today, continuing) and explained a very important concept: when you sleep your subconscious mind awakens. And when we wake up, wake up the conscious mind and the subconscious falls asleep. Freud also found that during the dream all our frustrated desires, emotions, thoughts that were not released during the day are released by our unconscious mind. So are our dreams, according to Freud.
You are very talented and creative.

Just finished up this story and I have to tell you I did not foresee the twist here at the last. What a great idea, and you carried it off so wonderfully!
I laughed through much of the chapters and loved your author-asides…those were hilarious and I could even see your face as you made them and hear your voice. No, TN1, I don’t have you under surveillance :), but your “voice” and personality along with your Twitter pict really come through your writing.
On a serious note, I think Kit had it partially right a few chapters ago when she said technology would destroy us. In a way it might, but not because the technology itself isn’t good or useful, but that our own humanity often gets left behind because of it. I think about how often people are able to be cruel and judgmental via the internet because they can remain anonymous.
Anyway, I liked this story a bunch and am glad you are writing so prolifically. Dang, I wish I could write as fast and as much as you! I’ll check out your other offerings, but first I need to go back and catch up on some other writers.
