‘Ok Tina, you need to stop with this foolishness’ ‘This is only a temporary job, in 3 months you’ll be graduating and working at the studio’ Tina kept on repeating this mantra over and over just then the phone rang and snapped out of her trance.
“L magazine how may I direct your call?”
“Yes may I speak to Bette Porter please?” asked a very sexy voice from the other end of the phone
“Please hold I’ll check if she’s available, who may I say is calling please?” Tina asked
“Can you let her know Catherine is calling to confirm our date for tonight?”
“Yes, please hold”
Tina rang the intercom in Bette’s office
“Yes, Tina”
“Bette I have a Catherine on Line 1 for you she’s calling to confirm your date tonight”
“Tina, can you let her know I’ll meet her here at 7:30 sharp please and tell her I’m sorry I’m not able to speak to her directly, I really need to prep. For this meeting on Monday”
“Sure no problem, Bette”
“Thank you Tina”
“Hello, Yes Ms. Porter would like to apologize for not being able to speak to you personally, she asked me to let you know she will like to meet you here at 7:30 sharp”
“Ok thank you.”
As Tina hung up the phone, Alice and Shane walk in.
“Hey Tina, is the boss lady available?” asked Shane
“Yes Ms. Mc Cutchen, is she expecting you?”
“Tina, please for the hundredth time will you please call me Shane, and no she’s not expecting us, we just thought that maybe she would like to join us for lunch”
“Ok…Shane, let me see if she’s available”
Tina picked up the phone and hit the intercom button
“Bette Shane and Alice are here to see you”
“Ok, Tina send them in”
“Ok guys go on in”
“Thanks Tina” both Shane and Alice said at the same time.
“Hey Bette how’s it hanging” asked Alice
“Alice please don’t start” replied Bette
“So, Bette can you join us for lunch?” asked Shane
“No, sorry guys I really have to prep for this meeting”
“Come on Bette we hardly see you anymore, you don’t go out all you do is work, work, work”

Something tells me Tina is going to ask Alice to help her with a makeover! I can see it now–Tina’s going to come in Monday morning with a brand new look and it will make Bette take notice!! Catherine who?? LMAO I love this story. Don’t keep us waiting long for an update! PPS
great chapter – I really like this story! I hope Alice tells Bette everything she knows about Tina – and i agree with the other posts I hope Alice helps her with a makeover. Its clear that these two are attracted to each other. I can’t wait to read more! PPS
Man what a heart wrenching story Tina told…and I think Tina is mega jealous of Catherine, but worry not; I get the feeling no matter how sexy Catherine is, Bette only had eyes for one woman…Tina! Bet she’ll finally realize it tonight while she’s out with Catherine. PPS can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store for us.
Alice need to take Tina shopping, I like to see Bette’s face when Tina comes back after that….
I dont like Catherine. Like Tina said, she does what she can on the limited income. How many of them has worked two jobs and still the head of her class>If Tina had the money she would realy know how to dress. She clean,had the money to have braces put on,she eat frugely and now has a beautiful smile and the glasses are next. Her family is missing out on a wonderful person That is who we should feel sad for, they have and will miss so much Thanks so much

She didn’t notice her jacket cause she was only looking at her eyes and her breasts!!! Tina’s story was heartbreaking, but I have a feeling Bette will be making her feel much better very soon, right? Great chapter, PPS.
