Alice finally asked “So what happened next” Shane sat there glassy eyed totally immersed in the story Tina was telling.
“She slapped me, my mom slapped me so hard my lip was bleeding she accused me of wanting to come to California to be with the rest of the homosexual sinners. She told me I was going to hell then told me to get out of her house”
“Tina what about your dad what did he say or do?” Shane asked
“Nothing, he said nothing I guess more than anything that’s what hurt me the most he said nothing he just sat there” Tina said with tears rolling down her eyes
“I ran up to my room packed as much cloths as I could into a bag got my laptop my money, gave my brother a hug and left”
“What about Tammy?” Shane asked
“I took the bus to her house and told her what had happened, she didn’t want anything to do with me either, she was too scared about her parents finding out she told me to leave and not to contact her again”
“What a bitch!!” Alice said
“Yeah a couple of years after I left I found out she got married with a “nice” young man she has two kids now”
“So, anyways I took the bus to the airport got on a plane and I’ve been here ever since”
“So wait” Shane said “You came here alone at what 18? All by yourself what did you do for money how did you eat buy books clothes? Even with a scholarship I know it gets very expensive.”
“My scholarship covered all my studies plus I got financial aid for my living expenses I had to stay at the dorms, it wasn’t too bad. I was working nights at a café, my studies started to suffer one of my professors noticed, and recommended me to this Temp. Agency the pay is a little better and the work is more frequent, I tutored some students, made a little extra money to cover my day to day expenses. I eat at the school cafeteria quite a bit its cheaper, and I shop at thrift stores for clothes, you find a way to survive. Someone once told me “you adapt to your circumstance” and that’s what I did I adapted”

Something tells me Tina is going to ask Alice to help her with a makeover! I can see it now–Tina’s going to come in Monday morning with a brand new look and it will make Bette take notice!! Catherine who?? LMAO I love this story. Don’t keep us waiting long for an update! PPS
great chapter – I really like this story! I hope Alice tells Bette everything she knows about Tina – and i agree with the other posts I hope Alice helps her with a makeover. Its clear that these two are attracted to each other. I can’t wait to read more! PPS
Man what a heart wrenching story Tina told…and I think Tina is mega jealous of Catherine, but worry not; I get the feeling no matter how sexy Catherine is, Bette only had eyes for one woman…Tina! Bet she’ll finally realize it tonight while she’s out with Catherine. PPS can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store for us.
Alice need to take Tina shopping, I like to see Bette’s face when Tina comes back after that….
I dont like Catherine. Like Tina said, she does what she can on the limited income. How many of them has worked two jobs and still the head of her class>If Tina had the money she would realy know how to dress. She clean,had the money to have braces put on,she eat frugely and now has a beautiful smile and the glasses are next. Her family is missing out on a wonderful person That is who we should feel sad for, they have and will miss so much Thanks so much

She didn’t notice her jacket cause she was only looking at her eyes and her breasts!!! Tina’s story was heartbreaking, but I have a feeling Bette will be making her feel much better very soon, right? Great chapter, PPS.
