Chapter 4
Saturday at the planet…
“Shane, I cannot believe the story you’ve just told me” Bette said with shock
“I, know Bette, I knew Tina was smart but she also has guts, and courage to do what she did all by herself, I know I could not do it, college was tough enough but to do that by yourself at such a young age coming here with nothing but the clothes on her back holding down odd jobs just to be able to eat, graduating with honors, top of her class even. Wow Bette it just blew me away” Shane said.
“You know Shane I knew there was something special about Tina, I just couldn’t put my finger on it, do you realize Shiloh-Peabody is THE top studio? “ Bette said “I’ve met Helena Peabody she’s one tough lady, and from what I hear she’s pretty ruthless I just hope Tina is ready to deal with all the harshness, of the movie business”
“Yeah I guess Tina has a meeting with her this coming week to discuss her contract”
“Do you think she needs help Shane?”
“You know Bette we shouldn’t under estimate Tina she’s VERY smart, I have a feeling Helena Peabody needs to be careful” Shane laughed
Bette looks at her watch,” I have to go Shane I some work to do” said Bette “I’ll see you Monday”
“Bye Bette, Don’t work too hard”
As Bette walked into the office she noticed young women in the lobby wearing a great fitting pair of jeans that showed off the wearers nicely toned thighs and a great firm derrière, a snug t-shirt that was snug in all the right places and shoulder length wavy blonde hair. As Bette got closer she realized who the blond was
“Tina?”
“Oh hi Bette good morning I was just putting out new magazines out front”
Even though Tina still wore those hideous glasses Bette was taken aback by Tina’s beauty, God Bette thought what a body I guess 5 miles a day really agrees with her, maybe I should take up jogging.
“Bette are you ok?”Tina asked
“HUH?? Oh yeah, yeah Good Morning Tina, I didn’t recognize you in those jeans”
“I’m sorry Bette is it too casual should I go change?”

I like the twist… though Tina is the ‘ugly duckling’ coming of age so to speak, the title seems to be from her gorgeous boss’ perspective… PPS!
This is so cute. Tina the ugly duckling (really the beautiful swan) working hard to be successful and lusting after the incredible hard working Bette Porter.
What a great story! Maybe Bette can revisit that dinner invitation after her presentation… a victory celebration with Tina. Glad Bette’s able to see beyond the big glasses and unflattering clothes… although Tina in those jeans certainly helped! Look forward to seeing how her interview with Helena goes.
I have the feeling Bette is going to miss Tina like crazy after she successfully lands a concrete with the movie studio. Perhaps this will prompt her to realize that Tina already holds her heart. This is such a wonderful story! Thanks for sharing it.

I yust chatched up with your story. I love it. I love this shy and ‘ugly’ Tina but in the inside she is a strong young and beautiful lady. I like Bette that she sees unbeknown to her the lovley and beautiful side of Tina. I can’t wit for more. Great you for your first one. PPS
Tina seems very comfortable in her skin and she takes care of Bette like it is secon nature. Can’t wait for them to get closer, maybe Tina’s tutoring session will be canceled and she can go back and have dinner with Bette. PS
Love this story. Your Tina is loving and caring as always and I am very glad to see that. She is dedicated to her life and what it is she is trying to do and still has time to feel and care for others. That is the mark of a very wonderful person that deserves the same care and treatment for herself that she gives to others, yet she asks for nothing for herself. Now it is Bette’s turn to do some things for Tina. Bette needs to investigate what she needs and pay her more for starters. Does Tina take the bus or does he have a car of her own? I’l bet she takes the bus, and if that is the case, Bette shoudl buy her a car with insurance so it will be a little easier for her to commute from the dorm to school. And Bette should make this job more than temporary so Tina can stop having to go all over town for temp jobs. I like this Tina very much. This is a prime example of “pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps.” Tina has done a magnificient job of taking care of herself. And no doubt she will rise quickly to the top of her chosen profession. Bette should give her a car for graduation but give it to her early. Great update. PPS
