“I understand what you’re saying Ms. Peabody” Tina said
“Please Tina call me Helena” she smiled
“I understand your currently employed correct?”
“Yes, I’m working at L Magazine, I’m Bet…um Ms. Porters temporary assistant”
“And that jobs runs how long?”
“I only have 3 more weeks left before her assistant Allison returns”
“Then after that you’re graduating and I’m assuming everything is in order for your graduation, as you are aware that’s one of our requirements of the position we are ready to offer you”
“Yes Helena, I am aware of that, I’m pretty much done with my studies I’m just taking a night class in editing to fulfill one of my requirements”
“Excellent, alright then Tina shall we get down to business?” Asked Helena
Tina took a deep breath and said “Yes”
“Tina here is our offer as well as a list of documents our HR department will need, since you are a student and living on campus we have also added a moving expense allowance you can choose to move into one of the many apartments the studio keeps or you can choose to find your own. A company automobile will be ready for pick up after you sign the contracts and graduate of course you’ll just need to go to the dealer and let him know your preference it’s all in the packet, plus given our earlier conversation I’m going to add additional monies for your new….. Image”
Tina picked up the papers Helena was pushing toward her as she looked at the documents and numbers her mouth fell open.
“You’re offering me a Jr. VP position?” Tina asked
“Not just any Jr. VP position Tina, it’s a Jr. VP in training we eventually want you to head our production department.” Helena got up from behind her desk and walked over to Tina “We believe you have great potential and talent and we are willing to invest time and money to make you even better” Helena crossed her arms across her chest and lent back on her desk “Tina I have a reputation of only hiring the best and I haven’t been wrong yet, that’s what makes us the best and most successful studio, people come to us to make their movie not the other way around unless of course we find them before they find us”

I agree with fellow Texan, BettyVHall. And might I ask “has Bette lost her everlovin’ mind” planning to stay the night with Catherine is just plain crazy and she even hesitated. In my book if you hesitate, you really don’t want to spend the night or even have dinner. All these naysayers will be jealous as everything when they learn that Tina will be gong to work as a VP. Yea Tina, go girl. If she takes the job and I hope she will that at least solves the question of her having transportation and making a salary that everyone would love to have. Wonder what Bette will think? Can hardly wait to see what happens next. And who the hell cares what Alice will think. PPS
