I take my cell again and dial her number. This time, I’ll go all the way. I’m not sure she’ll answer if she sees my name. I need to hear her voice…
«Hello ?», she says coldly, but her voice warms my heart anyway.
«Please, don’t hang up…», I plead with her. But she does… She knew the silence would hurt me even more than the sweet sound of her voice. That voice that uttered «I love you so many times…». I throw my phone in the back of the room and cry like I’ve never cried before in my life.
«If it’s the last thing I do, I will get you back», I scream at the top of my lungs.
Six years ago, she chased after me… Now it’s me who will have to win Bette’s heart again…

Bette sat in her office, staring into empty space. Her world didn’t make any sense anymore. She had never thought she could hurt so much… As much as she tried to block them, images of Tina in bed with another woman came back to haunt her every time she closed her eyes.
So she hadn’t slept much in the past few days, or eaten for that matter. How could she had done this to her ? Sure, the relationship had its problem, like any other couple, but an affair ? Bette sighed and buried her face in her hands as she began crying softly. Her heart was in pieces, her soul felt like it had been torn apart…
«God, Tina why did you do this to me, to us ?», she said out loud. Suddenly, there was a soft knock on the door.
«WHAT?», Bette snapped just as James opened the door. He was holding a big bouquet of flowers.
«These came for you Bette», he simply said.
«Throw them away!», Bette screamed back.
«But I haven’t even told you yet who they’re from…», James replied.
Bette gave him one of her famous evil stare. «I know who they’re from and I don’t want them. And make sure you throw this bouquet where I won’t find it because if you do, you’re fucking fired!»
«All right, sure…», James said as he closed the door. Over the years, he had seen Bette in foul moods before, but this was the worst. «She must be hurting pretty bad», he thought to himself as he walked outside to find a garbage can the farthest away possible from the gallery. «You can never be too careful», he reflected.

WTF! Well the character twist certinly wasn’t expected. I think I can take anything but Bette falling into Helena’s arms for comfort. Eagerly awaiting your next chapter.
i always wanted to know bette’s reaction if tina was the one to cheat…interesting twist, i hope they will work it out ;) time for tina to chase bette now

wow, was so used to all the b+t loving this took me by complete surprise. it’s good? to see i’m not the only one who wonders what it would be like if the situation had been reversed. i’ve actually been forming the story in my head, just haven’t had time to type it out. very nice, can’t wait to see how your story progresses!

Ouch that was painful. But it’s interesting to see Tina as the first one to cheat. I like the idea of Tina having to chase Bette this time.
Hey ML, Wowwee! What a turnaround! Awesome to think that all of the love that Bette and Tina shared; everythign that they when through to be together has just casually been thrown away by Tina. What is the mysterious woman that she lost everything for. Was it a case of the seven year itch. Something that demanded to be scratched; a moment of idiocy an lunacy or something more derisive. Now Tina seems to have realized her mistake and needs to make amends woith Bette. Problem is that Bette is in no mind to listen to her.
