    Author Notes: Hey everyone, I'm so excited to share the updated version of my story with you I've rewritten and expanded it, adding Tina's POV to give you a deeper look into their journey and I hope you love it too I'd love to know what you think.
    Summary:
    Bette and Tina’s love story began with sparks and endless excitement. They built a life together, filled with dreams of a future, but over time, cracks began to form. Now, standing on the brink of divorce, they must decide whether their relationship can be mended or if it’s beyond repair. Can they overcome the pain and past mistakes, or is it time to let go for good? Their journey is one of healing, forgiveness, and the search for hope in the face of uncertainty. I hope you enjoy following their journey and the emotional twists that come with it.

    The last step is her shoes black, polished Louboutin’s. As she slides them on, she looks at her reflection in the mirror, every detail perfect. But when she meets her own gaze, she sees something more fragile something hollow in her eyes that even the perfect outfit can’t mask.

    She heads to the kitchen, her movements slow and deliberate as she begins to prepare coffee. The familiar ritual should offer some comfort, but today it feels like just another task to check off, another routine that doesn’t fill the space inside her. She moves to the sleek coffee machine, its polished steel surface catching the light as she selects the rich, dark beans. The sound of the grinder fills the silence of the house, sharp and steady, echoing through the empty space. Once the beans are ground to perfection, she carefully sets the filter in place and pours the water into the machine, the steam rising in delicate tendrils from the pot as it begins to brew.

    Despite the precision and luxury of the process, there’s no warmth in the moment. The smell of rich coffee fills the air, but it does little to soften the ache inside her. The silence around her is oppressive,

    She’s not in the mood for breakfast not today. She can’t even remember the last time she felt hungry for anything other than the familiar ache of longing. Her heart aches for Tina, but more than that, she aches for children their laughter, their messy hair, their small hands tugging at her sleeve. The house is far too quiet without them.

    Bette wraps her hands around the mug once the coffee is ready, hoping the heat might do something to ease the coldness gnawing at her insides. She takes a sip, the warmth of the liquid sliding down her throat, but it does nothing to soften the emptiness inside her. Her eyes wander across the counter, landing on a neatly stacked pile of documents the divorce papers, She can barely bring herself to look at them, but she can’t look away either.

    The reality of it all stings, but she can’t bring herself to feel anything more than numb. It feels like something much worse: a hollow acceptance.

    The reality of it stings, but Bette doesn’t allow herself to dwell on it. She flips through the papers absently, her sharp eyes scanning the legal jargon as if it were a report on something distant, something irrelevant. The hearing is today.

    1. A great start to this story! I’m hooked already. I really like the part where Bette addressed the judge and then Tina spoke directly to her. And the part where Bette whispers to herself that she’ll bring them back together.

    3. Oh dear, I just found your story today. Great start, well it’s sad, but I think Bette will do everything she can to win Tina back. What’s with the name Bradley Knox..What’s with the difference in the last name if these are Bette’s children? Please continue this story. Can’t wait for a new chapter. WE WANT MORE…FAST, FAST,FASTER. As for the last name his full name is Bradley Knox Porter. He’s the son of both Bette Porter and Tina Kennard.       I must tell you, accidentally I stumbled on this one on another website and there this first chapter is much much longer, with Tina’s POV. Can you fix that, for other readers here, please?
