    The family weekend

“Hey. I agreed to take cooking lessons with her so I can be more helpful in the kitchen. We’re going to check on classes next week. Maybe you can keep Angie for us since the classes are in the evening. She’s great company and you two always seem to have so much to talk about.”

“Yeah. I’d love that. I do enjoy spending time with her. Now that she’s older we are really bonding.”

“I noticed that, and I must admit it scares me a little Al.”

“Not to worry Porter. I won’t corrupt little PJ too much. So is Tina OK with another one of your ex’s hanging around you?” Alice being one of them.

“We’re working that out but Leigh is just a friend. You’re family. I don’t think of either of you as ex’s. You are special people that I care about, that I want in my life. Tina loves you as much as I do Al. I think she’ll come to care for Leigh as well given the chance. I hope you all will welcome her too.”

“Well Shane is certainly putting the moves on her but I don’t think she wants any part of that.”

“Yeah I think Shane thinks of her as some kind of challenge. She’s the one woman in WeHo that didn’t immediately fall for her charms. Here get those drinks for me will you. We need to get out there before they come looking for us.”

    ***

Bette and Alice take the drinks out and find the thirsty crowd was getting restless. Bette’s iPod was plugged into the stereo system and she’d turned it up so that people could dance. It was an eclectic mix of music that was playing randomly. When Jones Zona’s version of “Two Hearts One Love” came on Bette and Tina immediately found themselves in each other’s arms slowly swaying to the music. They listened to the words of the song that signified the beginning of their life journey together. All eyes were on them as they danced and kissed each other tenderly. Soon Emma and Liz got up to dance and they were followed by Cindy and Dani. Shane, Alice, Leigh and Kit sat back and watched.

    1. I don’t mind the slow space and progress!

Happy that Tina and Leigh talked, and hopefully Tina will not see her ever again as a danger for her relationship with Bette. The only danger to that will be her only insecurites, but they are finally able to communicate and that is the biggest hurdle they had to work on and that will always be worked at.

I have to 2 days free, can i hope for more?

      Thanks for the quick updates!
