Helena and I were not friends; she was an affair. We were in a sexual relationship while I was pregnant, and for me it was just sex. I was actually flattered by all the attention she paid to me and her desire for my pregnant body. I agree with you that it was a bit bizarre that she was so attracted to me with my big belly, but I didn’t think of it that way at the time. When I started to pull away from her and started moving towards Bette that’s when she started pursuing you.

I guess you served two purposes for her. One is that she knew that you were acquainted with Bette and that Bette was trying to get you the show at the CAC. By getting Bette fired and acting as a patron on your behalf she made you beholden to her. She used you and your relationship with Bette to further her own agenda. Secondly she used you to hurt me because I rejected her and she no longer had such a strong hold on me. I’m sorry for not trusting you Leigh. I realize that much of my issue with you is really stuff I needed to deal with on my own. I appreciate that you and Bette have recovered from what Bette and I now call “Hurricane Helena”. She was a beast and she was malicious; she hid her true character behind her beautiful charming exterior. You and Bette share something that I can’t offer her. I’m happy that she has a friend and colleague that fill that need. I hope that you and I can become friends as well.”
