    Finally Jodi found her voice. “This can’t be … there’s no way you could have survived that attack. I saw that croc drag you down.”

    “Jodi darling I realize you must be in shock but believe me I am very real. The attack, the pain, the suffering I’ve endured for almost two years is very real. I have the scars to prove it. I’m lucky to be alive but alas here I am.”

    “But how … where have you been all this time?” Jodi asked still not believing her own eyes.

    “Why don’t we all sit down?” Tina suggested.

    “I need a drink.” Kelly said turning towards the liquor cabinet.

    “That’s a good idea Kelly. I think we could all use one. As a matter of fact just bring the bottle over here.”

    Kelly brought over the bottle of whiskey and four glasses. She didn’t bother with ice. She set it on the coffee table and tried to pour the shots but her hands trembled. Joyce took the bottle and filled each of the glasses about a quarter of the way up. Kelly gulped hers then offered her empty glass for a refill. Joyce obliged. Everyone else sipped the amber drink and enjoyed the slow burn. This was going to be a long night.

    Tina sat next to Kelly with Jodi and Joyce seated across from them with the coffee table between them. She put her glass down slowly and began speaking as it pained her to get the words out. “I wish I could say it’s good to be home. I suppose under the circumstances I couldn’t very well expect a welcome reception but this is harder than I imagined. How could you do this Jodi? I loved you so much. I was willing to do anything for you. Everything between us was so new and different. I realize we had some things to work out but you didn’t even give us a chance. And my darling Kelly what happened to you? I know I can hardly speak given my monstrous appearance but I have to say you look like shit. To tell you the truth I’m surprised you’re still here; and especially that you are living in my house and sleeping in my bed. Did you think you could erase me from your life by throwing away my things?”

    2. My God! I’m smiling like a damn fool at 1:05 am and my ass needs to be asleep cause I got to get up at 5 am for work. I was asleep but woke up several times to check for the post. FINALLY it was here and I just finished reading it! Tina gave a performance of a LIFE TIME! Tina Kennard wins the OSCAR for best actress! You go girl! You one bad ass BITCH! Babe In Total Control Herself!! Bette just topped it off by putting her arms around her. That was such a romantic moment! I had tears in my eyes at that moment! You are one AMAZING writer! I’m still acting like I’ve NEVER read this before! Its so amazing and wonderful. I can’t wait until the next chapter but I have to.     8. It was worth the wait. This chapter was fantastic! I loved that Tina was no longer a victim but victorious. All people should quit being the victim, but turn the tables on the abuser. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. I hope there will be more chapters to this story, but it will be hard to beat this last chapter. No matter what, I do wish you the best in your writings and I hope that you are doing it as a career, you do have talents.
