Thirty minutes later David stopped the car in front of Peggy’s brownstone. The building’s doorman was there to open the car door but David got out to speak to the women before they entered the building.
“Ladies I’m going to grab dinner but I’ll be close-by so whenever you’re ready to leave just give me a five minute warning. I’m at your service for the evening.”
“Thank you David. We haven’t made any evening plans as yet but we’ll let you know. Enjoy your dinner.”
David got back into the car and drove a few blocks to an Italian restaurant while Bette and Tina were escorted into the building and private elevator to the penthouse floor. Maria opened the door and led them to the sitting area where Peggy was receiving her guests.
Peggy too had changed out of business attire into a flowing evening dress but it was more than the clothes that made Bette exclaim how amazing she looked. “You are practically glowing.”
“Well I spent the afternoon being totally pampered from head to toe. Come on over to the bar and I’ll introduce you to my companion Nikolas. He’s the reason for my glow. He’s a professional masseur; doesn’t speak much English but his hands have a language of their own.” Peggy was practically undressing the Greek Adonis with her eyes. He was 25 years her junior and the wink directed at Bette and Tina gave no doubt as to how Peggy had spent her afternoon. With a sly smile she moved to stand between the two beautiful women; took each by the elbow and lead them to the bar. Bette and Tina shared a look of admiration at the older woman’s vibrancy.
After making the introductions Tina ordered a white wine and Bette a vodka martini. They chatted for a minute then Peggy excused herself to check on dinner while Bette, Tina and Nic mingled with the other guests. Dylan was there with her husband Frank, Winnie’s date was named Alicia and Max was with his partner Tom. Bette was a little distracted so after a few minutes of small talk she walked away from the group to have a look at some of the art pieces in the room. Peggy’s collection was so extensive that she would rotate the pieces often.

Alright!…Your author’s note cleared that up!..I’m all for twists and turns!..Love how you threw the conversation about the donor disagreement from Season 1 in here…Tina needs to want a monogamous relationship first so she and Bette will be on the same page to pursue a relationship..Nice chapter and loved the interaction with TiBette..Now they can get to know each other a little better in the next chapter!
Great update. Oh wow, they had THE conversation and didn’t get hurt over it. At least that will be out of the way if something does happen and they do get together and make those life altering decisions regarding having a family. Happy they are having a great time together enjoying their time together and learning more about each other. This is a very interesting story. Thanks for posting.

It`s going a bit slow but I like this sweet and genuine Bette so I`m going to keept at it a little bit longer:)
Really pleased to have some 1 to 1 time with Bette and Tina and very nice how the Donor conversations were introduced., far better than the confrontational way in the Show.
Glad they are together in the loft and look forward to your next post.
It was a very good chapter, and I’m glad that they’re getting to know each other better. and the easy-going conversation between them.
Well it seems the time is the key to this story, Bette and Tina are not emotionally in the same place. and then soon they live in two different part.
I’ will waiting ;) It will also be good to read how their lives turn out.

Interesting to see their views on marriage and children. They have to be on the same page before they can go forward in a romantic fashion. But I am a huge TiBetter, so I want them to realize their fates sooner rather than too late. Excellent chapter!
I quite agree with everyone here how the donor story was introduced. Unlike in the show, I love the softer side of Bette in this story, not sure when Jodies attack on her will resurface? Lets hope Tina and her connect will she is staying at Bette’s loft.
Yes! I know that bette would have nothing with Dylan or Winnie.
Through their conversations talking about how each has its vision of life, and even disagreeing with certain matters, they already give beginning to the future have a solid relationship. I loved this chapter.
