    “Then stop this. I’m in love with Bette and she’s in love with me. We are happy together. We’re still finding out about each other but we are happy. You just need to get to know her better.”

    “I know her better than you do.” Helena has an evil gleam in her eyes. She’s ready to lay her final ace on the table. “Look at this, Tina.” She reaches into her purse and pulls out a large yellow envelope. She pulls the contents from inside and lays them on the table. “This might be difficult, but we’re here for you.” Helena says sweetly as she shows Tina a copy of a check for three million dollars. Tina looks at the check then at Helena. She is utterly confused but her heart starts to beat faster as the details of the check become clearer. The girls lean in to look.

    “It’s a check to Bette Porter and it’s signed by Henry Bell, the same man who tried to kill you on the island.” Helena speaks slowly, pronouncing each word perfectly. She smiles triumphantly. The others gasp, looking at Tina with deep concern.

    “Tina, there has to be a perfectly good explanation. Don’t jump to conclusions.” Dana lays a gentle hand on Tina’s arm. Tina is lost in thought, staring blankly at Bette’s name in big bold letters.

    “Dana, darling. Henry Bell tried to kill Tina… and he works for the mafia. This is where her money comes from. Don’t you get it? She was in on the plot to kill Tina. What other explanation can there be?”

    “That’s ridiculous, Helena. Tina, talk to Bette.” Shane demands. She doesn’t want to believe it. She doesn’t want to believe that Helena has been right all along. It would really break Tina, probably forever.

    “Yeah, I need to talk to Bette.” Tina whispers to herself. The check, her stop in New York, her bottomless bank account, all these are shocking questions that need answering as soon as possible.

    “Then why not ask her to join us.” Alice points with her eyes.

    Tina whips around in her chair and is shocked to see Bette, impeccably dressed in a stunning black suit with a beautiful young brunette. Bette is carrying a silver briefcase and smiling madly.

    4. I think Helena receive a kick in the ass by Tina and Bette and friendship will be lost by Tina and the girls. I hope that this time a coup Bette and Tina Helena too! Thanks for your chapter.

    5. If Tina is questioning anyone’s devious motives it should be Helena’s not Bette. All she needs to do is think about what happened on the island and how she came to be on that plane in the first place. Additionally she either trusts Bette or she doesn’t. Bette doesn’t need to explain herself. If Bette is an assassin, I hope Helena is her next target and this time she finishes the job. :-)

    9. As Tina’s friends they should’ve been told her what Helna was trying to do. They are not.really good friends because they are continually let Helena attempt to sabotage B&T relationship without Tina having a clue.
