“…The first step to recovery. I know.” Tina grins, remembering her pseudo session with Alice.

“I love you, Bette. I’m sorry I treated you so badly. I’m sorry for so much but I swear I never stopped loving you. And, I’m here to fight for you. I know I can be the person that you deserve. I want to be that person, with all my heart, sweat and tears, Bette. I want to be that person.”

“Tina please…”

“I’m not leaving you. My home is where you hang your hat.” Tina winks, trying to lighten the mood. Bette chuckles and pushes her hat back, tilting it against the sun. Tina sighs at her favorite sexy sight. She bites her lip as a memory comes to her.

“Why haven’t you told Phyllis or anyone else about your past? You told me less than a day of meeting me. Why did you tell me?”

“There was this instant connection with you. I can’t really explain it but I felt I could trust you, trust you with my secrets as well as my heart.” Bette wanted to add how wrong she was but stopped herself. She doesn’t want to fight anymore.

“I didn’t betray you. I swear.” Tina looks to Bette for permission to continue. Bette nods, her body stiffens. She’s not sure she wants to hear what Tina has to say but she’s ready.

“The script came to my office four months ago. It was a personal favor for a friend of a friend of one of the big wigs. Otherwise, it never would have reached me. I think they just wanted to hand it off or thought I could perform some kind of miracle. I don’t know, but it didn’t take much to squash all interest, so I honestly don’t think anyone else read it. Anyway, it was very bad.” Tina chuckles, before continuing.

“It was terribly written. The dialogue was awful, like bad porn. It was cheesy, disconnected and the sex scenes were just ridiculous. They didn’t know what they were doing, in the bedroom, I mean.” Tina chuckles again but this time her cheeks blush.

“But I recognized the story immediately. I personally bought the rights and dropped it. Nobody questioned me, nobody followed up. It will never see the light of day. I promise you, Bette. I didn’t tell you about it because things were so bad between us. I guess I was afraid you wouldn’t believe me.”
