    “Well I am sure that somewhere – somehow Dana is watching this Alice “

     

     

     

    Helena said softly.

     

     

    Alice nodded and grinned as Helena picked up a silver tray and took it across to Bette – it was one of the posh serving trays with a huge domed lid. Alice followed her laughing at the first of the surprises they had arranged for Bette and Tina.

     

     

     

    “Alice –where’s Kit and Angus ? “Tina asked

     

     

     

    “No idea – I’ve been trying to ring her for over an hour – no damn signal on my mobile “

     

     

    “It’s pissing down with rain and winds blowing god knows what speed – and you are shocked you cannot get a signal “ Lara said grinning at Alice “ Plus that phone of yours was rejected by Noah as being out of date “

     

     

     

    “Up yours Perkins – notice your expensive phone that can take pictures and play games on cannot get a signal either “

     

     

    “What have you got there Helena ? Tina asked.

     

     

     

    “This is for Ms Porter “

     

     

     

     

    Helena whipped the lid off – Bette burst out laughing. The tray was beautifully arranged with the biscuits she had grown addicted to in England – the dark chocolate coated Jaffa cakes and the shortcake biscuit with the strawberry jam middle – Jammy Dodgers .

     

     

     

    “Oh Helena “ Bette reached for several Jaffa cakes – put one in her mouth and handed the other to Tina indicating for her to try it. Tina accepted it

     

     

    “I really don’t feel in the mood for sweet food Bette but I will eat it later “

     

     

    Bette waved her hand at Tina and snatched the biscuit. She finished the Jaffa cake in her mouth.

     

     

     

    “If you think I am wasting one of these beauties on someone who won’t appreciate it you can whistle Kennard. Plenty of other food for you “

     

     

    Everyone laughed

     

     

    “Oh I see – you will honour me, love me – cherish me but not give me your Jaffa cake ? “ Tina asked pouting

    4. oh damn ‘contractions two minutes apart’!..that is close she should be at the hospital by now :P Tina will panick for sure! so..she will have the baby at home or car or hospital ?? The weather wont help either. I cant wait for next chapter.

    10. LOL, I love you but I’m about to drop our son. I hope that B&T make it to the hospital on time. I am sure that Helena owns a Range Rover, they are pretty much tanks and can make it thru anything. After Tina’s miscarriage, I don’t think either one of them can make it through a home birth during a storm.

    12. AllyE, don’t let anything happen in the storm, okay. Let the birth be successful with both mother and child okay. Love the story but, please go mild on the drama.

    13. Talk about dropping a bombshell. I hope Tina doesn’t feel upstaged, even though I’m sure she understands Bette wasn’t trying to top her. (What pun?) Poor Bette may have to do without the hospital she so desperately craves.

    14. Call 911 STAT! Cliffy Master!The storm and everything A! The cell phone dead! Wow! if they need assistance on child birth, let me know, i will volunteer myself to be on call…ALL NIGHT! ( JB and the jaffa cake..i’ll take that! anytime) Thanks mate , u know what i mean.

    15. OMG Ally, I hope Bette and the baby will be okay. I loved the part about them each telling about their fears. Total riot about Tina being freaked out by Mickey Mouse, because even my granddaughter isn’t afraid of him and she is only 14 months old. Please don’t make us wait to long to find out what happens with Bette having the baby. You really know how to leave your readers hanging. And just so you know–even though you used a certain phrase in this chapter–you are not going to get me to ever say it again–so there! LOL!!!

    22. Poor Tina she just poored her heart out and Bette says but. I can’t wait to see how Bette handles child birth process. I guess Tina realizes that Bette was not turning her down but was in serious pain.

    25. great one, so was that a ‘yes’ from Bette? lol we have shrewsbury biscuits that sound like the one’s u describe but no jaffa cakes, they sound yum…love the levis blue and black!!!!bring on the baby…
